The way that he is playing, looks to me he is just begging for a third game. Many times he could have get it done in two if not for some bad choices of shots. Now he has to play third game and wasting energy. I don't like his strategy.
bigger than Lee Chong Wei, king of all kings, the messenger of the galaxy, lord of the 360 degree-smash, legend of net shots and man who sit at iron throne. all Malaysia sports will write music about him and praise him for the next 20 years he has freedom to go in and out of the palace as he like, and become the king's adopted son.
Zhao Junpeng is quite a mysterious player. He didn't join China for the Thomas Cup so I thought he wasn't very good but he played well against Koki Watanabe. And I read that he had beaten Chou Tien Chien before to win his first senior title in 2016. I wonder how far he will go in this tournament. Sent from my SM-A307GN using Tapatalk
Probably. Line told post match that she had been briefed before the match that Busana was going to retire. Interesting match between HKV and KT. While KT is the clearly highest ranked player, the H2H is 4-0 in HKV's favour, including a very recent match. That makes who the favourite??
Why come to court at all, if you are so sure about your retirement that you've already informed your opponent? Christophersen could have stayed in the hotel and the daily schedule could have been sped up.
Well done, Vittinghus, this old dog still has the fight in him, he's just bitten a young strapping dog 10 years his junior into submission. (No offence, just being facetious). Amazing, his positive 4-0 H2h against KT notwithstanding as their respective age and relative strength are supposed to be in the young gun's favour.
Congrats HKV. I'm not sure I should call him best podcaster among badminton players or best badminton player among podcasters .
Surprised to hear zhang nan’s only 31. There’s certainly a hope for a second innings. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I’ll take it. It could be an interesting pair but both are front court players but very versatile. It might also motivate zhang nan to put more effort Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Liu Yuchen could repurpose himself to be the rear court player, though. After all, he's one half of the fearsome Twin Towers. And Zhang Nan's smashes are good but not deadly enough for men's doubles. Side note; way to go mods for deleting my post only, instead of deleting all of the posts involved. Sent from my M2007J20CG using Tapatalk
Classic ZN in that final point of G2. ZN is still young enough to compete for 2024, hope we can see him in Paris.
Yes and two front court players isn’t necessarily a bad idea as there aren’t too many lifts in the modern MD. They’d suffer in very slow halls but should be okay. Steen mentioned once that during a team event INA put two front court players together but no one could get it past them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
