Is LYK as fast as Ginting? Probably faster?

He's Singaporean not Malaysian so why would it be ironic that he wins a gold for Singapore? He's born in Malaysia but he doesn't want to be known as a former Malaysian.

Anyway, maybe he won gold for this tournament but Malaysian players won gold in many other tournaments too that he didn't manage to win like Asian Junior Champion.

How interesting it is to see the podcasters of The Badminton Experience playing at the same time!

Like I said. Speed in no 1. He got it. None is faster than him now.

So, to beat him, you need a person who will play the most boring type of game like Prakash Padukone. Unsettle his rythm. Neutralise his speed.

Drag him to all the corners. Lky will chew you up if you return half court or gets dragged into his speed like what he did to his victims. ;)

Only lky will mess himself up if he doesnt win this wc. Only slight lack of concentration with mistakes and thats it. ;)

I guesss Ideal player against him would have been Lee Hyun Il or Lin Dan (slower and stable version around 2012).

Lindan is a speedster. Faster than lky actually. More explosive. Susilo beat him in Athens.

Yes. Lhi is a good candidate. Very slow and boring player. ;)

But non like prakash. With his sweat handling thingy. Makes you want to sleep and cry. Wakaka. ;)

So AA wins game 1, leading game 2 against LCY, but HKV loses game 1 to LZJ after a cheeky second to last point. Hopefully HKV can win game 2 but it looks like a tall order for him at the moment.

This is rough for HKV. Crumbling to LZJ in Game 3. They were close early on, but LZJ started the second half at 11-6 and is now pulling away.

Let's spare a thought for HKV after LZJ's win. Good chat and handshake after the match, which is nice to see. After all, one is a co-host, and the other was a guest on the podcast.

HKV has really felt the fatigue from yesterday's match. But he's still a fighter, I like that about him.
And LZJ's stupid out-of-bounds smashes really need to stop, it is rage-inducing.

That's an interesting prospect, but honestly I think that it'd be a daunting task for them to even reach the final, let alone to win the whole thing.

But hey, maybe they could pull off a Ko/Shin out of their hats, just like in the French Open.

Is Wang Zhi Yi better than Chen Yufei? (Have those two played each other in a BWF match)? Interested to read people's thoughts.

I just now read Han Jian's interview that Prakash is unbeatable at the net and that's why they will keep him at the back.
"Padukone was a skilful player, very smart. He was unbeatable at the net. So we had to keep him near the baseline," Exact words of him

    Physically, I think it's okay.
But the mental side of him, though...very dodgy.
