I used to have a constant blister, at worst similar to LZJ's yesterday in that part of the foot, until a fellow player said I need to 'double-sock' (a big part of the friction will then be placed between the two socks, instead of sock/skin). I started always using a thin sock on top of my regular sport sock, and never got blisters since.

    edit:
Funny reading this, as I remember I first got some Yonex socks to deal with the problem, since I figured socks made by a badminton brand must be most suited to deal with the blistering. Well, wrong .

Why does Kidambi make so many errors?! It's sometimes frustrating.

It would be sad for Srikanth if he can't win this, because he has been on a tournament drought for so many years now, since his peak back in 2017, I think. In 2017, he really looked like the best player in the world, winning back to back Super Series, heading into the WC. And then he was eliminated by Son Wan Ho at the 2017 WC.

He has a chance to make up 4 lost years here. But he needs to take this opportunity and not let it slip by.

Sen without his father guiding him. He should have been there imo. As I've seen many times PGBA players getting advice from Sidayat while Sen was alone

Looks like Srikanth woke up in the first half of that 2nd set. Let's see if he can keep it up.

Laksha Sen is going to also have to step up his game to match Srikanth if he wants to win this.

So Srikanth is generally controlling most of the rallies. But Srikanth's problem is that he makes silly unforced errors. It's the errors that are killing Srikanth against Laksha Sen, IMO.

If Srikanth doesn't make those errors, he should be dominating Laksha Sen. To give credit to Laksha Sen, Laksha Sen is letting Srikanth make those errors. It did work in the first set, but Srikanth was able to cut down his errors in the 2nd set.

To be honest, I kind of hope Srikanth goes through. Laksha Sen will face a huge amount of pressure in the finals because he has never been there before. Viktor Axelsen had to learn how to lose many, many, Super Series finals, before he was able to control his nerves in the finals.

I'm not saying that Srikanth won't get nervous in the finals, but Srikanth stands a better chance with coping with the pressure in the finals because he has won some Super Series titles before.

Probably they both share a good rapport that's why, don't know. I have seen them both filling up for a coach for each other's matches in the past.

Srikanth will be a fresher of the two physically as well. I can already see Sen struggling physically and it's just the start of the final game.

Just noticed that there's a stupid, unnecessary statement that seemed like out of place.
