They should let Ratchanok play tomorrow, WHY

If Pornpawee play at WS1, then 80% lose to Chen Yufei, all will be collapsed like domino.

But if they fill Ratchanok in the list, perhaps lose to Chen Yufei either, but Pornpawee can have more opportunity to take 1 point back when facing He Binjiao and Ongbamrungphan can play as WS3

Eventually, Team INA lost 2-3, as most would expect. If only Gregoria Mariska Tunjung won her match....but she has not been able to show that she can be depended upon in big matches,

The brightest spark from the Uber Cup campaign would be Putri Kusuma Wardhani and INA's 2nd WD pair Siti Fadia Silva Ramadanti/Ribka Sugiarto which continues to improve. Mind you, the WD pair is only 21 years old this year and I would expect them to continue going up the ranking tables with 3 more upcoming tourneys in Europe and likely 2 more at home in Bali. They only lost to Mayu Matsumoto/Nami Matsuyama in the past 2 team tourneys and played all 4 matches in the Uber Cup, which will definitely increase their confidence level! I hope they can break into the top 20 by end of the year!

Meanwhile, Putri will continue her journey to the Czech Open and hopefully she can win that International Series Event.

If she plays it will be to move Chuchuwong downwards and to score points for the 2nd and 3rd singles and hopefully take a point from the doubles but THA doubles are weak especially the 2nd double.

That’s a smart plan…let’s see if the THA coaches are bold enough to try it…

The most fascinating Uber Cup quarterfinal clash pitted INA against 2018 runner-up THA last night that contained hard fight victory for the winner of this encounter.
    upload_2021-10-15_8-35-12.png

Indonesia women's team exposing weak link of Thailand squad, the doubles category but unfortunately three-time winner fails to steal any point through singles players. Gregoria Tunjung played really well with beautiful technical skill resemblances her idol Tai Tzu Ying at the glimpse in the opening game as Chochuwong can't do too much to respond former WJC deceptive and unpredictable shots. Then as usual the accuracy waned drastically on next second game, numerous easy mistakes repeated again and again that causing the Indonesian hard to design magnificent shots meanwhile Chochuwong is back to attacking rhythm that troubling her rival mostly where Tunjung has no superb retrieving skill. The blossoming talent Wardani is still far to rise on top flight tournament, lack of competing experience against Busanan Ongbamrungphan despite had healthy lead in early stages of second game. The fate of both teams relied on their teenager player when the nervousness coloring first set, Chaiwan grabbed crucial first set narrowly and passed second game comfortably.

Korea eliminates Denmark, 3-0. An SY drops opening game as she needs time to analyze her rival shots and pattern of play, the Korean back to her mojo, steady style which requires superb fitness level, excellent court coverage and long endurance really frustrates Blichfeldt in next two games. Fruergaard/Thygesen who stunned Lee/Shin in Tokyo Olympics group-stage encounter push the Koreans to work extra hard with their creative attacking shots and placement. Then Christophersen can't balance Kim GE footwork and fast interception on rallies although the tall young Dane comeback in second game but it's too late to thwart her rival to clinch the semifinal ticket.

Strong favourites Japan, China have no serious trouble to conquer India and Chinese Taipei team respectively with clean sheet score, 3-0. Chen QC/Jia YF losing one game to TPE combination Hsu YC/Hu LF that presents surprising stuff in this tie.

    THOMAS Cup QUARTERFINAL - Part 1 (08.30am)

    KOR v JPN
    upload_2021-10-15_9-0-4.png

~ Revenge mission for Kento Momota who suffered major disappointment in Tokyo OG to this man Heo Kwang Hee. Japan is favourite to progress into last four, MD1 could go either way.

    THA v CHN
    upload_2021-10-15_9-2-31.png
~ Don't see plausible reason except light injury or unfit problem why CHN doesn't select Lu Guangzu to face the on fire Vitidsarn. 2018 YOG gold medalist Li Shifeng who coming from same generation with Thai prodigy but has different league in their senior years now.

THA looks favourite in MS2 and MS3. KW should be energised having extra day rest. Not a very easy match for WYL/LC yesterday as well.

Well, if the team is tired anyway, might as well play LGZ. I think he has better chance than LSF, looks like a giveaway.

I think LSF is a safer choice for CHN MS2 at the moment. LSF is still fresh and not tired much, since he only played as MS3 from the beginning (or MS2 with easy opponents). Meanwhile, LGZ just had a tiring match yesterday against Sameer Verma, plus he's quite error-prone and vulnerable to trick-shots, which KV is so good at.

If CHN can manage to win at least 1 out of the 3 first match, they may have chance to last till MS3. For MD2, I just hope WYL can be cool as a cucumber and control the net like yesterday match, and LC won't make many silly misjudgement/unforced errors, they may have better advantage.

If KW wins over SYQ, then the thai MD will have momentum to win over the Chinese MD of which ZHD is always nervous...then KV to win seal the deal

Looks like CHN has no option in MS2 against the dangerous Vitidsarn, the gap is too wide. Perhaps LGZ stamina isn't fully recovered yet due to marathon match yesterday, his style of play that depend heavily on attacking shots surely draining a lot energy.

    I see that prospect too...
