The group stage draw has been revealed through BWF Youtube live streaming :

*Top-four seeds will be dominant force, unshakable to secure group winner looking to this less competitive Uber Cup, perhaps group C might offer some interesting prospects.

*Title holder Indonesia finds challenging test in group stage, particularly first MS when facing THA, SGP meanwhile they also should be wary against the unheralded KOR team, really intriguing group A. The clash of TPE & IND in group C is projected close contest.

KNOCK-OUT DRAW : 11th May 2022

Malaysia is depending on LZJ and the two MD. At this rate aaron chia/swy might end up playing 2nd doubles lol if the independent pair catch up on world ranking? Its like 8 and 11 now?

with king Lee Zii Jia, I think Malaysia will go to final this time.

If IND fields their strongest team in Thomas Cup the chance is high to top the group

The darkhorse team and has good prospect to top group C considering TPE players show uninspiring performance recently.

Surprised to see Algeria in the Thomas Cup, we also have their neighboring country Egypt as well in Uber Cup. Looks like North African countries are into Badminton very much. India's neighboring countries like Bangladesh and maybe less in Pakistan where Badminton is very popular on a recreational level. Maybe they need more funds to train their players to an international level to compete and have a better structure for professional players.

Actually Malaysia's MS3,LJH is the most reliable,he hasn't lost in a team event before and has upset many top players in the past also.

LZJ and Aaron Chia/SWY,either one of them has to deliver. I am not that confident in NTY somehow, his form recently is not so good. Neither is LJH's form that good now but I think his mental is a bit better. I think Malaysia's MD2 can score a point as they should be stronger than most other countries MD2.

It depends on who they are playing against. If against Japan, then I do think LJH has the best chance to get a point as he had got a point against them in the last Thomas Cup (I think he was the only one as well). Izzudin/Sze Fei should have a chance too but Aaron/SWY really don't have a good record against Japanese MD.I am not sure about NTY vs Tsuneyama, don't think they have played against each other before. LZJ vs Momota, anyone could win,but LZJ should win if Malaysia wants to win the tie.

Against Indonesia, Aaron/SWY should be relied upon to get a point as they are quite good against Indonesian doubles. NTY and LJH,I don't think their record is very good against Indonesia's MS2 and MS3. So LZJ and the MD2 have to win also. But I feel that Indonesia's depth is much stronger so I don't expect Malaysia to win against them. I think the coaches might also play Aidil in some matches as he is the actual MS3 by world ranking, but LJH usually plays MS3 in team events due to being more experienced.

I think Malaysia should be able to win against the other countries because their doubles is much better except against Indonesia and Japan.

Still China and Denmark. But first, you have to beat Japan to take the group.

LJH will meet Nishimoto as MS 3, let's see.
