TOYOTA THAILAND OPEN 2026

The new version of Carnando/Marthin is so refreshing. Easily beat THA pair in the quarter final.
Marthin looks thinner but still powerful. Looking forward to watch the next match against HJ/RX.

SYQ walkover was very dissapointing (Im not saying it is not justified, I dont know why he WO) I was hoping for him to reach the final

They seem to be attacking HJT more. Why?

Satwik/Chirag reached a final after a long time. Satwik recovered from injury!
One thing I appreciate Satwik is that recently he conducted a tournament in the memory of his father at his first death anniversary in his home town Amalapuram. Also he participated in the tournament, played doubles with his elder brother and won the MD trophy.

Thailand has always been their happy hunting ground. Their first SS500 win was Thailand winning against the Chinese Twin Towers Li/Liu

Naa, Naa, Naaa. One never recovers fully from an injury especially in badminton. I still think Satwik is not even smashing 70% of his full power. Chirag on the other hand is smashing hard. Secondly regarding the tournament which Satwik conducted, he just made a guest appearance. And played the guys who reached the final. I don't think he played the whole tournament.

antonsen down 7-12 on 3rd game, comeback to win the tournament. good moment like this will be much less unlikely starting from next year (bwf genius 15 points idea)
Ya. It's a pity! Part of my entertainment is seeing how players fight it out while struggling with with stamina issues... if they fail to win in 2 games.

Then the match becomes suddenly unpredictable because it is not necessary the one who can deliver powerful smashes, the fastest runner, the best net player will win. They might or they might not because now it how well they can still be consistent and maintain some minimum good form even though there's very little left in their energy tank.

We will miss precious moments when both players the winner and the loser just falls on the ground because they gave everything. Then gets up and hug appreciating what each other had went though. These kind of moments is quite unique in badminton. Haven't seen it in baseball, tennis, volleyball, basketball, even soccer. (In soccer, sometimes when it goes over 90 minutes but then in team games sometimes can call up substitutes)

Congratulations Leo/Marthin.
Of course, I’m happy that they won the title.
I’ve never doubted their abilities or skills. In the past, their main issues were inconsistency, being too emotional at times, and often running out of ideas once their opponents figured out their game plan.
Hopefully, now that they’re paired together again for the second time, they’ll become more consistent and handle the match pressure much better.

Along with uselessly fast victor shuttles, badminton is going nowhere :( :(
