Fewer delays during play. However you can apply cold spray yourself during breaks…seems like up to five times during a three game match.

“Elimination of cold spray allowance during a match – The allowance of one cold spray per player per match, provided by the Tournament Doctor, is eliminated. Furthermore, the Tournament Doctor will not be providing cold spray to players during intervals.

Players can still apply cold spray to themselves (or by a team medical staff member) but only during intervals.”

Presumably this rule was brought in as an effort to speed up the game.
Anything that makes a match more continuous is a good thing.
As amazing as today's athletes are, some matches are painful to watch with long gaps between almost every rally.

If players are allowed to bring their own treatments to the sidelines, it might be interesting to see what various devices and concoctions they may be administering to revive themselves, during the breaks. Anti-inflammatory rubs? massage devices? Espresso machines?:)
