Oh really? He doesn't look Chinese to me weird. Guess other S.E Asians are more prominent Chinese looking than the Indonesians maybe

I jumped in to stress exactly this. That the cases were very different. That VA doesn't have a motive. Nice intro though.

I think there may also be a misunderstanding in the CJ-LD case. First off, I don't blame neither CJ nor LD. Not at all. I blame Li Yongbo and BWF. Second, I am totally with you that Chen Jin was strong enough to qualify. All the merits that you mention show that. His main obstacle was not injuries, but rather the rule that for three players from the same country to qualify, they must all be in top 4. A rule which I am not a fan of. He could have been ranked 5 in the world and not qualify. That would have been ridiculous.
But if injured players should be "compensated" or have shortcuts for qualifying (they shouldn't), it should be in the rules so it is the same for all players. Not only those who happen to have strong compatriots who can give them free wins.

I did only use Wikipedia for "bare facts", namely the fact that Chen Jin didn't secure his qualification already at All England. And if you suspect that there have been dishonest edits, you can always check the page's history and see all edits. Other than those who did, did VA mention that the court was slippery and I guess he would rather play safe and did not want to risk getting injured?

In short, "top committed players" have to participate in all Super 1000, all Super 750, at least two Super 500, and WTF if qualified. And it is top 15 in singles, and top 10 in doubles. Then there is some middle ground if you reach those rankings during the season (first week of July). Then you only have to compete in one Super 500 and all higher in the remaining calendar year. But there does not seem to be a similar rule in the opposite direction, i.e., if you drop out of top 15/10.

The female coach was Pan Li according to one Justfun livestreamer. Not sure who the male coach was but he does look a bit familiar to me, could have seen him before during one of the CBSL (China Badminton Super League) series.

The male coach, I thought was a men's doubles player in the mid-80's. Can't remember his name, but I thought it looked a bit too young.

Also, Ratchanok had an MRI scan in Thailand after her slip. It revealed that she ruptured the tendons of her left ankle. She decided to retire from all the tournaments this year. Bad news for Thai WS as two top players got injured from the same tournament, although Chochuwong's injury doesn't seem as bad.

It could be the reason why some players held back, hence the match results.
Court providers must do something.
 
In Formula 1 circus they have a meeting with drivers having their opinion heard about safety matters. Don't they have something similar in badminton world? Those mats should be tested and accepted way before the tournament

Have you seen Tony Gunawan, Hendra Setiawan, Marcus/Kevin, Alan Budikusuma, Susi Susanti, Ardi Wiranata, Hermawan Susanto, Minarti Timur, Hendrawan, Lilyana Natsir, Rudy Hartono, Liem Swie King, Verawaty Fadjrin? They all look very Chinese face.
Compared with Mia Audina, Heriyanto Arbie, JC, not so chinese face i guess but it is all relative.
In Singapore there are some pure chinese blood who look like Malay too. I have some colleagues who look like malay but they are pure chinese.
Southern chinese can be similar to malay look sometimes.

Yonex and Lining mats are good and only Victor mats have problem
