New and havent used. After stringing...
3u version strung at 27ibs. Is this common?
Funny thing is this is a replacement cause the last one had the same issue at the same spot.

Get a new stringer. I ran all the 4 total I had before and now at 30/32lbs. They didn't move much while stringing. Your stringer isn't setting up his 12 and 6 posts properly. And I highly suspect he doesn't have a load spreader either.

He had load spreader on. And a week ago i had 2 bs12s 3u and 4u done at same 27ibs without any issues.
Wonder if it’s just the paint cracking from the frame’s slight compression or is this frame deformation.
In case i dont get another replacement, is it ok to just play with it?

here’s hoping i just had bad luck at the draw with these last 2 js12 and hopefully get a 3rd replacement as the last. I have been going to my stringer for 2 years without any problems.

Also for the sake of arguing that it is the stringer’s fault. Maybe didnt set up the 12 and 6 properly. But i can assure load spreaders were on cause i was standing right in front when it cracked. Would a brand new racket that’s factory suggested at max 30 ibs crack that easily? In the process of stringing 27 ibs?
Just curious, im not knowledgeable on stringing machines. If a racket is slightly askew on it, would it be reason to crack frames.

No. A brand new racket should never crack like that especially with that warrantied limit. I don't expect perfect support positioning from my stringers either. There will always be a certain degree of human error as it is after all a hand adjusted component to the entire system. So the question is how much is slightly? 1-3mm? If yes then no I don't really expect it to play a huge role at 27lbs. 4-6mm? That's probably gonna either crack or warp your racket head length wise at 27lbs and more.

Played with JS12 since Jan17 until jul17..then realize i always hit frame when defending against smash..buy 3u BS12..ahh..my performance in defence and attacking improve a lot (Not hit frame at all)..so JS 12 become only my warm up racket.. before play with BS12..dont know what wrong with tht racket or it is me.. Still using it (Js12) and still hit the frame when defending (sometimes not always but in crucial point it is stressing)

Sounds like you're intercepting the shuttle too late or your precision in intercepting is off. Do you hit the frame on the upper side or is it all around?

Sounds like a simple timing issue that can be fixed over time easily.

    2 questions:
    1. Would you recommend a JS12 in 3U or 4U? I Play singles, doubles and mixed. Or does it not matter that much?
    2. If to buy a JS12, would you buy one now or wait for march 2018 for the new blue version (with higher price)?

    1. Very much a personal thing. Depends on your current preference.
    2. Unless you need it (and prepared for the grommet issue) or getting a good deal, then I'll wait.

Is it already clear that the gromet issue is solved in the new edition?

Anybody use a different racket as a backup to their js12? I need a backup for mine (3u) i know the best option is to buy another which i may end up doing but wondered if there was anything cheaper out there that works as a backup while playing not too differently?
