Lindaweni failed to repeat her winning over P.V. Sindhu. This time, Linda lost 20-22 / 16-21 to Indian promising star.

Gao Huan stuns his senior former World Champion Chen Jin in tiring 76 mins match, 14-21 / 21-14 / 21-15.

The injury bug continues to hit the CHN WS, now it's LXR's turn. Sigh. With Sudirman Cup just a few months away, they really cannot afford it.

Veteran Hu Yun still going strong. Chen Yuekun is disappointing;the way he seemed to struggle against Hsuan (who's not a bad player though), I knew he won't go far here.

Wang Zengming did well to take the 1st set from LCW, and I think he acquitted himself well in that match. Gao Huan may be the surprise package this time for the new crop of players. Perhaps Chen Jin hasn't regained his form and condition.

With LXR out, the top half of the WS draw looks more open; Saina looks to be the odds on favourite to progress to the final but Intanon or Han Li may have other ideas, perhaps Sung JH and Tai TY too.

I already knew that Li xuerui was injured before coming to this tournament. I expected that she will retire in the first round itself. she attented this tournament in order to avoid the fine i suppose. Anyhow, i wish her to recover soon.:)

Sindhu did well . She is a fighter. As expected, she won today's match. I hope she will past through Portnip since she has beaten her previous encounter with her during China masters 2012. Lets see how she does. :) Excellent show

Yip Pui Yin is a fighter, I actually like her spirit and attitude on court but she can be too harsh with herself.
