I love the power of the jjs (very similar to mx90) compared to mx60. I have both in 3u and play with both. jjs/90 is a bit more difficult to use at the net.
The MX60 is essentially the BS11 but the Meteor equivalent. The MX90 will be significantly heavier and stiffer. If you want to try the MX90 I'd probably go with the 4U version. The MXJJS and MX90 are much, much more demanding than the MX60/BS11.
I've used both 3U and 4U versions of MX90. For me this is a 3U racket and does not need a 4U version. Thankfully, I received 2 4U versions recently, one weighing 81g and the other 83g. I chose 83g version which proved to be the right choice, being closest to 3U in weight. I also had a 4U JJS and it wasn't as good as 3U version. Likewise I had Thruster K7000S in a 4U and I consider it needed to be a 3U to shine. there seems to be a move with Victor to supply all their rackets in 5U here in Europe and I consider this is a smart move. I would really like to test each racket in both weight sizes before choosing which version Victor settles on, knowing that only one weight will be selected. Paul www.badminton-coach.co.uk
Hi Paul, Would you mind linking/posting which 80 hole pattern they sent through? Also, which 2 piece pattern were you using at the AE if it wasnt the one linked by clawhammers? Thanks,
Paul, you listed some rackets that were better in 3u than 4u. Why do you say that victor supplying everything in 5u is a smart move? It's hard/impossible to get weight choices in Uk/Eu. Therefore if one weight choice is 5u I would never expect for the other choice to be 3u
Sorry it should say G5 and not 5U - ooops! At All Englands, depending on which racket we strung, the only difference was where we tied off at the bottom. Aside from that, we followed the pattern. Paul www.badminton-coach.co.uk
I played with voltric 80 and JJS before. Voltric80 is definitely more demanding due to its head heaviness.
Having played with both rackets I agree that the VT80 is more demanding. It's still a brilliant racket but MX90 just makes shot making that little bit easier. Paul www.badminton-coach.co.uk
"Proper" is a word too general and subjective. But I do have something to say about this racket in regards to its "hold-effect" aka. shuttle feels like staying on stringbed for long. It is considerable less than the famous hold of Arcsaber 10 and I think partially due to MX90's "stiff" feeling frame. So it is alot easier for me to get a solid feedback and better accuracy from the racket, which Arcsaber 10 certainly does not give me, it feels all too "mushy", if that is even a word.
How about you ask what you want to know more specifically. Perhaps those of us with experience with this racket can answer you better?
