Victor NCS (Pro/Max) Synthetic Shuttles

For us the flight was something to get used to, we thought some harder shots went out but landed like 40 cm in. After a game or 2 you adapted and it was not that much different than a mid range feather.

However, when it has serious damage (feather break) it became really crap. To our opinion not even suitable for physical training with multi shuttle rows. What is your opinion on this?

Which version did you play with? Std or Pro or Max? The Std and Pro is definitely slower than their rated value, and the Max seems to be very near correct rated speed. I think the Max will be excellent for general club play, and will last much longer than feathers. IMO the Max is definitely a cost effective replacement for mid-range feathers for general club play. -The only issue currently is there is very little supply of the Max, which means price is also higher than it should be.

I have not been able to thoroughly test the Max yet, but from reports of others, it it more durable than the Pro.. -They play fine with 1-2 broken feathers, but if a stem breaks then it's dead. (But same with feathers..)

We had the pro.
Release speed seems "normal" but it seemed to slow down massively as described.
Really playable but needed to get used to. No issues if it becomes the standard. But anoying if you keep switching between these and feathers.

Regarding stem if one breaks at the stem we still use it for warm up or higher speed multi shuttle excercises focussing on physical, with the pro trashcan was the only option.

Can anyone else confirm that the Max are a bit faster than the NCS standard and Pro? First batch of 78 was sold out pretty much immediately in european shops whereas the 77 are still available in some places.

I tried the Max 78 and don't find them to be much different in speed from the standard and pro 77, which are both reasonable speed for our hot gym. I also did not find the Max to be more durable, it was the first time I've seen a carbon shaft feather break at the shaft, usually it's the foam part that separates at the tip or tears off the side. So far I've only tried one shuttle so maybe it was a fluke.

I find the Max faster than the Pro, and the 77 speed works well for me.
