Peace be upon you.
Have anyone tried ? Appreciate if you can share your review. Thank you.
I finally bought these bad boys and had a session on them.
As a background.. i am a big guy with weak knees.. one of the knee already had patellar issue, and my ankles are very easy to roll (i.e ouch!).
These shoes did their job well!
Cushioning works really well. after 4 sets i barely feel fatigue on my knees. my footwork also feels lighter to jump around.
It is also very stable and give confidence on the court.
And finally.. it is very light. I thought it will feel like a ski boots.. but no it isnt.
worth every penny.
Thank you for your review !! Is it suitable for wide feet? At my place, the price is
higher than yonex Aerus 3. Morphologically, i prefer this one compared to Aerus 3.
it is wide u-shape. the only thing wider than this one is the SH- A830 II, you probably want to try that one too. that one looks less bulky.. so maybe that one is lighter but less stable.
the 8500 / 8510 are probably the only Victor shoes that fit in the wide feet profiles. used to own the 8500 previously which lasted me quite a while. will pick up the black 8510 soon.
No it is not the only Victor shoes - like i posted earlier.. the A 830 II are actually designated as "Extra Wide", while P 8510 was only designated as "Wide". I tried the 830 and it was indeed wider than P 8510 - but i like the sturdiness of P 8510 more.
Before P8510, you wear what shoes ya?
I wear another cheap Victor shoes.. the AS series. When i was shopping and finally got the P8510, i also tried the A830 series.. all wide u-shape design especially the one i showed above
Thank you very much for your great sharing!!
I am currently wearing Yonex 65z, thinking about getting a new shoes. P8510 is really tempting. Have few options to compare with such as Yonex Aerus 3 and Yonex Comfort Z.
You dont need my sharing.. you try it on, do the 6 point footwork in the store and scissor jump.. you know how light, stable, and cushy it is
Aerus 3 is probably the closest contender, but I think it has a less stable feel, something Yonex sacrificed to gain more foot speed. Let me know how your trial on shop goes
Finally I owned it! The black P8510. Feels so comfortable. Full of cushion. With test it on weekend.
So how is it?
Hi mate ! Sorry for the late reply.
I love it !! Feels so comfortable and stable.
And looking great too !! Thank you for your help !! Really appreciate it.
Seems like there is a 2019 version according to the Victor website. Probably no upgrades in terms of technology. The only interesting difference I see is that the new version has a more "leather" kind of look whereas the old one has this glossy plastic kind of texture which I don't really like.
I just bought the 2018 version a month ago and quite like it. Could have waited for the new version which I would have preferred much more, but who would have known that there would be new version released anyway.
Is it only me feels that the shoes is quite heavy compared to the other shoes?
Depends on which shoes you compare to. I tried the Yonex Comfort Z and they felt as heavy.
I currently use the A830 and it fits me well. I do have wide feet, not super wide, but wide. I've used the P9300 V-Shape before, and its kind of narrow hence why I switched to the A830. How does the P8510 compare? I really enjoy the P series as they are extremely sturdy and stable. The A830 is nice, but I really do prefer the P. Would you say the P8510 is a good "wide" shoe?
A830 and P8510 is about the same width.. the A830 II is wider.
Btw be careful with the 2019 model.. they now seems to have the 'knocked down' version of this model and it does not have the same feel and comfort as the original one. I am not sure if all 2019 model is knocked down, but you can tell from the price if it's knocked down or not.
Many thanks for the input. I may just purchase the new P9500. I heard it has a U shaped toe box which suits my feet well. I don't like the V shape for box as that's a bit narrow.
Yes P9500 sounds good.. if you like their colors
