Victor Thruster K Onigiri

just picked up an Onigiri, shaft supposedly mid flex - i think not! was not expecting that. feels a lot stiffer swinging it around the office, almost like the JS10
It is not even close to JS10 stiffness...

Perhaps closer Arc 7.

6 hours with this racket and i really like it. So easy to play with. At first i thought it felt stiffer than advertised but you can feel the flex when playing. This racket is really helping with rear court jump smashes. Swings really well, cuts through the air nicely and the weight in the head helps with control and feel of the shuttle. I wish i had found this racket sooner. Using Aerobite at 25lbs currently, but might go back to BG80 for the grip/bite factor as i dont think this racket needs a super repulsive string, as the flex and head weight take care of the power side of things anyway.
If you're looking for just a tad more stiffness and head weight, check out the 4U Astrox 77.

Yeah it's not even close to a JS10.

Is the Astrox head-heavy?
I would say the 4U and 3U Astrox 77 straddle around the head weight of the 3U Arc 10/11's.

In other words, just slightly head heavy and yet comfortably so due to smooth swinging shaft.

I have a JS12 and I'm looking for a replacement, on the Victor Racket mapping the JS12 is around the same place. Can anyone give a recommendation. I love the JS12's speed but its lacking in power

Thanks in advance

Couple of questions for those in the know:
I can only find the new colour of this racket from RacquetForce, is this racket really that unpopular or not widely released?
Where are people getting this racket (if they are)?

Really enjoying my onigiri and wondering if I should get out of the racket game and buy a couple more.

Hi, me and my friend. Both of us bought 4 of these (2 for me and 2 for him) from Eric. He is active in this forum. The blue color is the new color for onigiri, released not long ago, this year. I am sure more store will have them on stock ONCE the old color finished

Seems like Onigiri Pro was silently released recently. Anyone tried this? Pricing wise seems to be on par with other high end Victor rackets.

Spec to spec wise its pretty close to the TK RYUGA II with slightly smaller 6.5 PYROFIL shaft. The rest of the tech is the same: PYROFIL, HARD CORED TECH frame, WES 2.0, and FREE CORE handle.

It is priced similar to the TK RYUGA II as well. I assume this is the replacement for RYUGA II.
I liked that racket and quite excited to see its "return".

But TK RYUGA II doesn't seems to have good feedback from users in the past, even the selling price is lower than RYUGA I now. I'll most likely wait to see more reviews for this before deciding.

It is really really really depend who you asking. Some prefer stiff racket, and some prefer much more elastic racket, so different reviewer may form a different opinion on each racket.

Damn, I really need a time machine to ask 5 year younger me why I didn't make this my main.
Anyway couldn't resist a deal on the recent colour and gave it another go. Early impressions from 1 hour training is good and I might give this small run to see if I prefer it over my current main, BS12SE 3U.

If this is good then I will potentially shift to the pro version if it's not a totally different racket.

Its weird that theyve bought the Onigiri back after all these years. I have the original orange as well as the lime green versions in 4U, and they were by go-to because of their unpopular (for some reason) mix of head-heavy and mid stiffness. Hopefully the new version is similar.
