wow, it's still quite large in numbers..however the no. of people didn't surprise me actually. Esp. in Indonesia, the large no. of people attending a regular wedding reception is not really unusual, where there could be thousands of "guests" attending such party. Of course most of those so called wedding receptions are called "standing room only" wedding receptions. I wonder if the whole 1st floor of the hotel was *packed-to-the-max-wall-to-wall*.. Add to that the 2 people who got married yesterday are very famous people in Indonesia, with many connections and friends, so..

The squad flies to Jaipur, India, next weekend for the Thomas Cup and Uber Cup qualification rounds from Feb. 15 to Feb. 19. "We have no plans for our honeymoon. I have to prepare myself," the Jakarta Post daily quoted Taufik as saying. Taufik got married with Ami Gumelar, the daughter of the National Sports Council(KONI) chairman and retired Army general Agum Gumelar. The couples' wedding vows were witnessed by President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and Vice President Jusuf Kalla. Badminton Association of Indonesia(PBSI) chairman and Jakarta Governor Sutiyoso, who also attended the reception, joked he had only given the couple"a day" for the honeymoon."Taufik must resume training on Monday," he said. Sutiyoso said as the country's top singles player, Taufik had acrucial role in the country's Thomas Cup hopes. lol, yes, deswita was there, i saw her on tv, yea, she said all those things, and of course, she came with new bf, lol on sunday every local channel broadcasted the clips of the wedding, so if u were in indo on sunday u couldnt possibly not catch it, lol, it was cool

Wah, kemana, u're such a die-hard Taufik's fan. Cool! Anyway, there were 5 wedding receptions on that day. I heard for the night reception "only" 3000 ppl were invited but from the sound of it 10000 people turned up. My friend's family was invited, but they chose not to attend since they knew it would be crowded like hell. The President must really consider it such a big event. He attended 2 important events that day. First he went to the National CNY celebration where my sis was, then he headed to Hotel Mulya. Busy busy guy.

the souvenir taufik's wedding could be the wedding of the year, maybe the biggest wedding ever existed in indonesia , do u know what the taufik wedding souvenir ?... it's a camera, not digital , so every guest who is 'formaly' invited could exchange their invitations card with a camera, so they could took a picture
