Pelatnas WD, like the other department, has not produced outstanding pairs yet despite having many talented players. They have good pairs but nothing that can consistently play well. The non-pelatnas, Pia/Rizky is more consistent. I think they can win against MAS pair Suci/Della is either inconsistent or the Thai players have improved a lot.
WS and WD have been INA's weakest departments. I don't think that can be changed for the next few years either, despite the optimism by some on Suci/Della and Nitya/Feinya. I believe Ulin/Ricky and Riky/Richi will be retained in the post Munas Pelatnas team and they will be promoted to the first-team. These two pairs are the two stand-out pairs among the back-up pairs, having won IC titles this year (2 for Ulin/Ricky and 1 for Riky/Richi). As for Markus/Agri, there have been calls to split them as they lack power. Yes, they are consistent but not good enough to be a real world class pair. Rendy/Afiat, Gebby/Tiara, and Jenna/Komala should be split. I see no future in these pairs. As for Suci/Della and Irfan/Weni, I would wait till the end of the year to evaluate their performance. At least for Irfan/Weni, they have shown improvements this year and from this alone, they deserve to be given 1 more year. Fran/Shendy is good enough to be a mediocre pair, i.e. top 20 at most like Rijal/Debby. Unless they can show that they can challenge the top CHN pairs, I reckon they should also be split and Fran to be paired with a younger player. I would also like to see Tiara and Jenna in XD instead, partnering senior players like Rijal or Fran. Ditto for Gloria.
That's close to half a year ago. At that time, Narissapat Lam was a nobody. Now, she already has a GPG title.
Hey, don't forget NTM is the LCW of the Vietnam Open. I don't think he will allow SDK to leave his country with the title.
Look at the Thai girls who have emerged this year–Lam (WD) and Busanan (WS). What progress. I don't see this happening anytime soon with MAS or INA.
NTM is having a rough patch recently and I still believe the in-form Sony can beat him. The last time they met in the Malaysia GPG this year, Sony won in straight-sets 21-16, 21-16. Of course, that's provided Sony can get past Alamsyah because Alam also happened to beat Sony earlier this year
With Alam, you know he's going to drag you into 1 hour + long match. Big disadvantage for Sony to have to use his reserves before the final.
Oooo... stepping into dangerous territory there. What the hell, if BWF allows match fixing, have yourself a field day.
looks like INA players (especially the youngsters) begin approving fast while the MAS players seem stuck there forever...
exclude ina WD .... i think all ina youngster wd not improving or had very slow improvement.... in contrary with thai youngster wd.... they have very fast improvement.... especially lam narissapat

Sony Dwi Kuncoro [5] and Dionysious Hayom Rumbaka [2] are on course to set-up an all-INA Final in MS. They are expected to face tough opponents in Nguyen Tien Minh [1] and Takuma Euda [6] in the SF. Ditto for XD, where Fran Kurniawan/Shendy Puspa Irawati [3] and Markis Kido/Pia Zebadiah Bernadeth both cruise into SF. Muhd Ulinnuha/Ricky Karanda Suwardi [4] further confirm their status as the best back-up pair in MD as they fulfill their seeding. Now, can they beat either Bodin Issara/Maneepong Jonjit [2] or Hoon Thien How/Tan Wee Kiong [6] to reach their first GP Final? Meanwhile, Lindaweni Fanetri beat Eriko Hirose [4] to set up yet another meeting with a Thai girl, Sapsiree Taerattanachai [3], who has beaten 2 INA WD players this week. 3 more matches in the evening session involving INA players, with 1 MD pair guaranteed a spot in the SF.
