His sister was only there for the final. So unless the shouts started on Sunday, I doubt it. There was a blonde girl who was shown quite a lot and who also shouted. I think she may have been the shouter.
Not often we get to see what goes on behind the scene of a player's tournament/match day. It's interesting to see how much preparation VA goes through, what he eats, the pre-match exercices, etc. He seems to be very perfectionist. Part 1 of 2 of his All England journey: And his match day during the PBL:
"You know, the best players wanna use the best products. We believe that Yonex is the best and I'm sure Victor agrees." No wait, it's Viktor.
Nice videos. English weather is very unpredictable. Luckily it was a great sunshine in Birmingham arena a few weeks back when I was there. Nice canals and bridge. I drove up from london, then further up to Isle of Skye to Inverness and the back to london via leeds. Enjoyed the 25 days trip. You can view them in my fb.
Axelsen is out again due to a leg injury. He will miss the Indonesia and Japan open. No timetable on his return. Strike of bad luck for the last 18 months for the Danish player. I wouldn't be too worried for Tokyo 2020 but when did he last win a major super series title?!
If you include super 500s, then it was the India Open this March. But then again, some of the top guns didn't feature there. With recurrent injury problems, the Basel World Championships also look questionable, and I am beginning to suspect that it is just a question of time before Antonsen takes over the mantle of top Danish MS player.
True. Since his WC victory, he has suffered many injuries. Last year, he had to skipped AE. He was unable to qualified to WTF because he skipped many tournaments due to his injuries. If he will be sidelined for indefinite time, he most likely won't participate in this WC. Speaking of AA, I think he has a long way to go to reach the top level. It won't be easy for sure. There are many young players eyeing for the top level.
Oh dear. Need to change training techniques to prevent injuries. Use masks or oxygen tanks may help. Even though he may be uncomfortable. Changing his training base to KL or SG which has a cleaner air. Time for me to coach him. Haha. His game strategy is wrong after his wc.
This is bit of a concern for VA. His form is been shaky since WTF ‘17 due to a mix of injury problems. Now this will tax him mentally too. Clearly players finding it hard to manage w/o injuries since the inception of WT format. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Unfortunately not, according to his Instagram and BWF news. Apparently he also has a back injury (disc protrusion in lower back) now, and can't even train. Sources: https://bwfworldchampionships.bwfba...d-axelsen-withdraws-from-world-championships/
How's Axelsen's thigh injury, any news? He's coming back strongly, it'd be a pity if he's sidelined by injury again for several months, hopefully not in this crucial period of OG Qualification. At his best, VA is a tough nut to crack for anyone, and I won't be surprised if he finally puts an end to his 11 consecutive defeats to Momota in their next meeting. Remember, Tai Tzu Ying suffered 0-10 shutouts against Li Xuerui (10-0) before she started breaking the duck, and their H2H is now 3-11 in 14 meetings.
...well... looks less like a real injury and more like someone shouldn't skip leg days that often... For the record, it has been 8 matches within two weeks.
