This match makes me wonder if ZYL and LC have even practiced together in training once.

 

Liu Cheng and Zhao Yunlei are obviously not used to each other, a strange choice for CHN at a major team championship.

 

Putita, another pretty young lady, we have not observed much especially in SS.

 

Another thing is for Liu Cheng to partner such an illustrious and accomplished senior as Zhao Yunlei for the first time would pose added pressure on him to prove his worthiness, psychologically speaking.

 

Liu Cheng is not his usual self, it seems.

Yes, definitely different from the other Thai girls. Tall, openly emotionally expressive, in a more 'western' way.One thing not different (from other thai girls), she is pretty. In fact she is downright Beautiful. .. Certainly one to watch

 

Can't agree more. Boonsak Ponsana should've been a better choice albeit being ousted in straights by Chen Long today. Also, definitely the WD they fielded today but gotta say the WD yesterday wasn't too bad. As for XD, I think they should've fielded today's pair too based on their performances so far in the match.

 

Both LC and ZYL will unconsciously take each other for their usual partners, the rapport and mutual tacit understanding is just not there yet.

 

It's a pity that Thai team must go home early. They are very capable to reach QF even SF from what I see in this match vs CHN.

 

I wrote my post before starting to watch this XD but I agree that this XD should have been used yesterday also.

 

Just realize that Puttita Supajirakul is so cute, she's so tall and slim

another fresh flower of badminton, a match to Gloria Emanuelle Widjaja and the lesser player from Australia, Gronya Somerville

 

Idem with POTUS, also Putita is have quite similar way of play like Gloria.

 

Seemed to be a wrong strategy in earlier line-up against GER... poor Thailand :crying:

 

For Team CHN, this XD combo is an experiment at the wrong time. Luckily, they are already 4-0 up in the tie, so can afford it.

Any of the usual selection, ZN/ZYL or XC/MJ or LC/BYX or even LK/HYQ would have been better, much better.

 

I suppose ZYL wouldn´t want to play too well with someone else than her boyfriend ZN because then maybe LYB will split them up and use ZN for MD only and in that case ZYL and ZN cannot win Another OG gold together

 

Puttita is so tall that LC and ZYL got to remember to lift higher.

 

Both THA MD and XD today are surprisingly good.

 

Good to hear Steen calling Liu Cheng creative unlike other XD chinese . Not a hard hitter but good at midcourt .
