China is troubled by Thailand in first and last tie as they took gambling to field Cai/Fu and new scratch XD Liu/Zhao against the more compact Thai pairs despite scored 5-0 once again. It's pretty smooth for JPN to tame TPE, 4-1 as Tai Tzu Ying stole the only winning point for her team. DEN v INA line-up => https://www.tournamentsoftware.com/...DB73EE0-97F1-4387-A72F-52B49FBE4586&match=430 MD, Kim Astrup/Anders Skaarup Rasmussen v Mohammad Ahsan/Hendra Setiawan WS, Line Kjaersfeldt v Bellaetrix Manuputty MS, Jan O Jorgensen v Firman Abdul Kholik WD, Maiken Fruergaard/Maria Helsbol v Nitya Krishinda Maheswari/Greysia Polii XD, Mads Pieler Kolding/Sara Thygesen v Praveen Jordan/Debby Susanto Both INA and DEN have secured their quarterfinal berths and they will face each other to hunt first position. On paper scenario, INA team has slight advantage to defeat Danish squad and tops group 1C, the scoreline could be 4-1 or 3-2 as this former champion will scoop three points through doubles discipline, equal chance in WS and Jorgensen is strong fave to win over young talent Kholik. Both teams rotate their players, DEN doesn't field Conrad/Kolding while INA rests Ahmar/Natsir who displayed below par performance against England team two days ago. KOR v IND line-up => https://www.tournamentsoftware.com/...DB73EE0-97F1-4387-A72F-52B49FBE4586&match=439 MD, Kim Gi Jung/Kim Sa Rang v Pranaav Jerry Chopra/Akhsay Dewalkar WS, Bae Yeon Ju v Saina Nehwal MS, Son Wan Ho v Kashyap Parupalli WD, Chang Ye Na/Jung Kyung Eun v Jwala Gutta/Ashwini Ponnappa XD, Ko Sung Hyun/Kim Ha Na v Manu Attri/Sikki Reddy N. It's decision time for KOR and IND in this event, either go home early or still survived. Well, group of death is full of surprise, none could predict MAS will top group 1D and KOR is hanging by the thread against the underdog Indian team. Sung Ji Hyun and the world #1 Lee YD/Yoo YS are absent from today's list while IND opts Kashyap against Son WH to steal MS point. Nothing is impossible for IND to beat their more favourite opponent who will be under pressure due to their shocking defeat at opening match against MAS team. The MS tie should be the key of winning either KOR or IND as most likely KOR will pick first point through MD and IND is favoured to nail WS match.
KOR vs IND will be interesting to see the outcome of match today, KOR has a strong point in MD, XD and IND probably can secure poin from WS and MS, this line up player from IND and KOR will shows whose strategy is better, we know Bae Yeon Ju has a good record against Saina Nehwal, but i think this time SN will be all out and also Karsyap Parupali coud seal the MS againts Son Wan Ho base on their last meeting result. if the game end up tie 2-2 that will be up to WD and that will be very interesting match since both WD are good and they both has the same chance to win the match.
Dang, I so want IND to take out KOR MD, Kim Gi Jung/Kim Sa Rang v Pranaav Jerry Chopra/Akhsay Dewalkar. KOR wins. 1-0 WS, Bae Yeon Ju v Saina Nehwal. IND wins, 1-1 MS, Son Wan Ho v Kashyap Parupalli. IND wins. 1-2 WD, Chang Ye Na/Jung Kyung Eun v Jwala Gutta/Ashwini Ponnappa. KOR wins. 2-2 XD, Ko Sung Hyun/Kim Ha Na v Manu Attri/Sikki Reddy N. KOR wins. KOR 3-2 There are key matches all over the schedule that could go either way. MS, WS and WD is anybody's guess. IND has to win all of these to take the tie. MD and XD will most likely go KOR's way
Wasn't very impressed with Kim Ha Na's play in the first tie, hope she will perform better today if it's what it comes down to.
yes that's pretty wild and bold. However, I am confident Bella never die attitude will win it for INA. She is not Lindaweni Fanetri.
Agree. its kind like KOR have no other choice than fielded KO/KIM. Based on paper, yes they will win. if they lose, its gonna so embarrassing. Manu/Sikki, based on everything, they were play in the different level with Ko/Kim. So, its 100% must win for Ko/Kim. No excuse, except injury on court.
Highly unlikely for an IND win in XD, but you never know if the sore is tied at 2-2. Pressure as favourites can have a strange effect on people. Throw in the fact you could let your country down as well. The Indian pair has nothing to lose.
7:00 PM Beijing suits and indeed is ideal to many working Asian viewers [compared to the 13:00] those who feel not suited are of much less number
