I've heard of this channel mainly cause of their racket views but was really shocked that they released a new racket.

They seem to have went for like an all-rounder racket, even balanced, flex- medium shaft, etc.

    Thoughts?

Huh. I never noticed it from watching their reviews, but these are the guys that were selling streetwear inspired badminton clothes, right?

Most likely it just rebranded racket.
Dont expect some gimmic or high tech stuff from it as im pretty sure they didnt do any R&D nor had the facility & tool to do the R&D.

    Doesnt mean its bad tho.
Yonex, Lining, Victor, Mizuno or other are the known brand that already proven them self to be good racket manufacturer.
This unknown brand are not proven yet but doesnt mean their racket are bad. It just that its kinda gamble to us, it can be good but it can also bad.

The design seems to be inspired by the ZF2 a bit

I love the volant guys. They do the "badminton podcast" which, in my humble opinion, is the best badminton podcast. They also make the clothes and now they are branching out into rackets. They are two expert players, but I haven't had a chance to try their racket. They super love badminton so I'm sure they put a lot of care and thinking into it.

Wanted try it but for the same price here in Malaysia can fetch a high end Apacs, Fleet, Protech racket plus still have some extra for a pair of training shirt and shorts.

    I love their youtube contents.

for 150 aud, i would prefer more established brand. if i want to gamble, i will gamble on cheaper racket (<50 aud). there are a lot of cheaper and good rackets to gamble with.

most modern rackets are actually already good, even on entry level rackets, provided you already have good basic technique about badminton. for example carlton carbotec which priced idr 300.000 in indonesia, which is around aud 27. flypower ternate 2 (idr 290.000 or around aud 26). victor arrow power 6800 (idr 450.000 or around aud 41).

LOL... kinda like watching their videos but I do get the feeling from all the results that they are somewhat bias towards Yonex and then at the end they sling in a free promo for their own racket.... ;););) Made me laugh somewhat.

Got to try one out today. It's not bad, but it's pretty mediocre for the price they're charging. I'd compare it to the $50~ racquets you'd find from Apacs. Only buy if you really like and want to support the Volant guys or if you like the looks of it.

I bought one to try out and I like its cool "Tesla" looking design. My reviews:

    Looks:
+ The black and white only colour scheme is cool and Tesla looking
    - The embossed prints feel like an amateur finish on the shaft, or perhaps they were deliberate? Feels like touching the 16 digits on your credit card.

    Feel:
    - I feel it was heavy for a 4U, but I am sure there's nothing wrong with the actual weight. Felt slow on my strokes and defense when compared to my 4U ZF2.

Having said that, another friend likes it as he feels he can generate a lot of smash power. I couldn't.

that’s really weird. It’s an even balanced racket like why would it feel like that? Thanks anyways.
What string and tension did you use? How long you have played?

Hey everyone! Thanks for all of your feedback! :)
We've gotten really good feedback on the Rogue S1. But maybe that's because we might not hear from those who don't like it?

I always used head heavy rackets when playing internationally. When we released the Rogue, I honestly was a bit skeptical about using and even-balanced racket. It did take a bit of time to get used to because the head felt too light, but now I feel that it's fine for generating power and when I go back to head-heavy, I feel a bit slow - but maybe that's coz I'm out of training haha :(.

I use the 3U version of the Rogue, and string it with Nanogy 98 at 30lbs btw! But after this reel of string finishes, I am seriously considering changing to Exbolt!

Always keen to hear feedback. Thanks everyone!:)
