PM me too. I would love to hear your insight SB!
Don't keep criticisms to yourself. Tell us your thoughts. Everybody deserves to know the not-so good stuff about the club. If you have legitimate issues with VRC, you shouldn't hold back.
BTW, it's good to see you posting again.
Dave, do you have a confirm yet? Is Sat firm?
Take honey + lemon & lime every day at least three times a day.
Trying to drug him first?
I think a shot of Jurgermeinster would do him well. Clears the phlegms right out of his throat.
Sorry guys, maybe another week or so. I've enough energy to type on a keyboard, that's it!
What's a Jurgermeinster?
u mean jagermeister? it's meister
Yeah! That's the one. Haven't had that since my university years. It's a common drink during my annual year end ski trips with my college buddies. Taste like Buckley's except more enjoyable after-effects
Hey nice to see you join Dave. I will still be missing in action for a bit longer. Knee injury really suxs....
Thanks TTT! Speedy recovery!
Speedy recovery for both of us!
And speedy recovery of your knee TTT!
Speed78 is organizing a malaysian dinner this week. Unfortunately, I forgot the details. Dave, please try to make it. We will make sure that Richard, the boss, will make a separate set of extra spicy dishes. Mrs. Schrodinger can take extremely spicy food .
Okay no problem ...
Man, ur guys surely having fun there. With another big gun as Dave joining now, guess the Van Torture Session will be extra tough now. Oh, wait, he was there most of the time, when I was dying in the gym...
Uh, LB, I think you have Vancouver badminton players rolling on the floor laughing till tears come out with that "... another big gun ..." quote of yours.
The VRC is what you choose to make of it. Some consider it a second home. (although there is a creepy member who I swear uses the club as his first home - the same fellow who practices nude yoga in the mens locker room).
The only consideration I suggest to you is to avoid making cost comparisons to playing at drop-ins or other centers. I often find that members who do that will totally miss seeing the benefits of the club. In other words, you are a VRC member, and it offers you certain use privileges. Enjoy them, and be a good member!
See you on the court sometime... (I am nursing yet another ankle injury sustained while attempting to avoid running into my doubles partner. Cappy knows who I am talking about...)
Man, how my perspective changed in over just a few months! The first two months of my summer membership, I was literally penny pinching. Now, I pay the membership first before everything else! VRC is the best place to play around lower mainland. It really helps to be friendly with people at the club. It can be really lonesome for members trying to drop-in by themselves. Also notoriety can be quite a burden for one to carry in such a tight knit community. So be careful whose shoes you step on.
There are more than one dozen new members who were present at VRC on the first Monday of the new season, some of them play quite good, so glad to have those new comers. VIVA VRC "NIGHT" CLUB!
