Mag: thanks for your analysis of Wacha. I agree with you, at times, Wacha showed moments of brilliance. At other times, not so brilliant. But like you said, if his game is on, he's a contender. Relatively speaking, I thought when he played against CH, he could have been more consistent and needed better shot selection.
I am sure they did last night. First game was 15-0, I left in the middle of second game. Tony and Howard were too strong for team Wales to handle.
I dont really understand why everyone keeps saying hafiz's gonna have an easier time. i thought it was susilo who should be troubled, not the other way round.
Any player in top10 knows that you should not take Susilo lightly as he can upset any of them. Take Lin Dan for example
Well a snapped achilles tendon, would make would make his chances against the top 10 pretty slim, wouldn't you say?? /Twobeer
it hs never been easy for hafiz. they met 4 times, ronald only lost once narrowly in 3 games.. pity, it cd be an exciting match...
Tony and Howard won in 2 sets, 15-0 and 15-3 It wasn't even close. The match was over even before it started. Just too fast, strong and accurate for the Wales pair(I believe they've met before in one recent U.S. Open)..On one occasion in a service change, one of the Wales pair threw his racket up in the air, i guess in frustration. The U.S. pair never gave any chances for any attack from the Wales, as they kept on the offensive throughout. That was because Tony was basically controlling and hogging the net...
That's actually very sad for Susilo. Well, I'm sure I can also beat Susilo when he's injured. Or at least... be a threat
I think they have a "lousy" picture on http://www.tournamentsoftware.com/sport/player.asp?id=8350&player=34 /Twobeer
I don't think "hogging" is quite the word to describe Tony, I think "dominating" is more appropriate. Tony's awesome!
Ouch, that looks really bad... From looking the first pic we can guess the impact his feet got on the floor.
Wong Choong Hann also lost to Ronald during the recent Spore Open. But I hope the other players should not take WCH lightly as well because he was runner-up to Xia XZ during the last WC!
