WC 2011 online replays

[gelee]

It looks like all wc 2011 matches have been blocked on youtube on copyright grounds in US :crying:

Does anyone know any other alternatives? Yup, way to promote badminton in US bwf, clowns.

[demolidor]

The official ones or the ones that should be blocked based on copyright?

Well in the official bwf youtube page, its saying "the uploader has not made the video available in your country". What the hell, im a giant fan of badminton and looking at the final score between lin dan and chong wei, its goddamn ridiculous that I cant even get a damn glimpse of that great game streaming from US, forget about TV/cable. I mean I would gladly pay $5 dollars just to watch the finals online.

BWF needs to get their **** together because they are losing out on a great opportunity for revenue and sports awareness here in US.

i talked to the person responsible for the BWF streaming site. and i was told that some TV station has bought the rights to broadcast the WC in the US. i wasn't told who. but since someone bought the rights BWF is obligated to honor it by geoblocking US from the youtube streaming site.

all is not lost as there are alternatives:
