    Guess most already know.

Singapore it's exactly the same as HK.

    Same channel, Same Time.

How did you get the schedule?

I managed to find it on espn star.

Here are a few things which are strange

    1) it's on espn channel - usually all badminton is on the Star sports channel (and for HK, our local chinese sports channel), never on espn

    2) the repeat showing of the q/f is 4 hours long (live is 3 hours)

    3) nine hours of live s/f action?

better make sure I got the beer, potato crisps, other snacks and nothing else on that w/end

ESPN, wonder if that means all commentary will be English.

Other than the badminton in World Championships and the carnival atmosphere,

the thing I value most and learn most is the courtside commentary on straregy and

tactics by Zhao Jian Hua, pity Msia only allows viewers the English version by Poul

Erik, which is juat as good.I think i lern most of badminton strategy from these two
    a
    people.One day maybe Sun Jun's turn ?

1)well espn is more on the american / european side like baseball (MLB), basketball (NBA), x-game , football( NFL )...while star sports is more on the asian side like badminton , football (soccer), rugby , snooker...OR ...depends where the event is held...OR sometimes if star sports is full, then they'll slot it in espn or the other way round .....

    2) the repeat they make it from 3 to 4 hours is because they're not sure that how long is the live event is going to last..so just to play safe with their time listing.... in case the it's only 3 1/2 hours , they can slot another program \for the remaining 1/2 hour ....instead of cancelling the program if the time is short...

    3) 9 hours...because they show all...singles , doubles ....if semi final they may show both matches in a category...n there's 5 category...so maybe they take such a long time...if it's for final.... maybe make it for 6 to 7 hours...because there's a prize presentation after a match is finish...so that's where they take the toll.... :D

    1) never seen badminton on espn before. Even now, there is some rubbish serialisation of some story on football. I thought it was supposed to be a sports channel, not a soap opera station

    2) I see;)

    3) s/f action. I think what they are doing this year is having all the matches on ONE show court. Last time, there were two courts side by side played simultaneously. That's why we got nine hours. With the women's doubles and mixed played to 11 points per game, it seems that we can get two sessions in consecutively!

Thanks for those times. I shall be watching on my big screen. I'm playing a local tournament in HK after the s/f action finishes. Hopefully I'll be 'inspired':D

Well, get to pay more attention in news. Sometimes, they show like 10 sec clip and report the result.

All above is for Chinese channel only... :(

    wot at Aussie?

I'm so jealous to all of you who can watch the matches on TV. Sooooo unfortunate that no Australian TV channel shows this great event!!!!

I might be wrong tho. Anyone knows if it's being shown in Australia?
