hehe...just has to be when my WMP is being uncooperative and wont start (stupid unknown startup error) oh well, i'm lsitening to the audio stream via realplayer:rolleyes:

lol...the web stream is behind the real life by a couple of minutes if u take the web scores as pretty near real life:D

How fast should ur internet speed be so that there is hardly any lag in the video??

Can anyone guide me with the process how to open a coolstreaming? or rather the cctv5. thnks. :confused:
 
Watching it right now :cool: Interview with Eriksen/Lundgaard with a translator :D Funny how they look like they're trying to understand a word she says and then immediately turn towards the translator once she's finished.
Watching sudirman on two channels, what luxury! :)

0. System requirements: you should have minimum a XDSL (with high speed, I think more than 800kbps is possible). Otherwise, you can not see any thing. Just forget it and wait for the available of download file on e-mule (I am not sure about that) or find a cable tv or whatever has cctv5 or sports channel provided live badminton match.
Now, you can do the step 1 or step 2 seperately:
1. Follow the first link to webtv site. Now look at the right conner (forget any words that you don't understand), you will see a small photo with cctv5 symbol. Click on it. Now another pop up window appears. Wait until it connects to the server. Be patient for buffering if any.
2. Follow the second link, you will see something like download coolstreaming. Click on it. Try to guess how to download the software to your hard disk. Then, install it. Open the .exe file. Then, open the wmp of windows. Wait about 10 or more minutes for receiving the channel. Later you will see the list in the window of coolstreaming. Now, double click on the channel and wait until the tv appear on your wmp. Remember that it requires wmp version 9.0 or above.

thanks for ur help. got all done n d/l wmp v10. all set but the playing is very very lag. Any advice? :confused:

It's too busy. I have 4000+ kbps and also get lagging so it's just too much traffic (I think)

You're right, in the morning when there are no match at all, the quality of both webtv and coolstreaming is good. But when the match comes, hardly can I watch, especially since this thread have been presented:D .
So the best solution is watching a cable tv.
 
any advice on this error message i got after activating cctv5
i use window media player version 10
dunno why it cant find server.
i didn't change anything after i downloaded coolstreaming

Does anyone know how much bandwidth does the coolstreaming take up for CCTV5?? Is it a lot?? I'm running out of bandwidth quota soon and I dont want to overuse it. :)

the channel table show it around 340 kb/s

The error shows that:
Too many connections to the servers so it denies your connection. Solutions: sorry! no solution. Try it later.
