Hi guys
I will probably write this in un-formal style since I am little bit bored writing an article lately LOL so I will just give you what Christian Hadinata says about Indonesia's men's doubles in Singapore Open.
It's such a waste since I tried to write an article about CHina Open yesterday and I called Christian to give me some comments but apparently my newspaper had no space left for the China Open article and it would be such a waste to discard these comments (including comments about singapore Open so that's why I am giving these for you to read
)
here we go
Men's doubles coach Christian Hadinata doubted that Candra and Sigit would make another surprise at the Singapore Open just like what they did by winning the doubles title in China Open due to their condition and age.
"I guess we must admit that they're not young enough compared to other shuttlers so it will be hard for them to maintain their performance in the five-star Singapore Open tournament," Christian said.
Christian admitted that sending Candra/Sigit to China Open and Singapore Open was initially purposed to test their renewed partnerships before challenging China to grab the Thomas Cup back in 2006.
Meanwhile, junior pair Markis Kidho/Hendra Setiawan are also expected to make another surprise in Singapore Open as they did few weeks ago in Denmark Open.
However, they failed to make a good achievement in the China Open tournament as they slumped in the second round of the tournament.
"I think their performances are still unstable and that's common between junior pairs like them. They're still lacking experience and confidence when it comes to play against big names in badminton," Christian said.
He added that the junior pair often doubted themselves that they were actually able to beat world-class pairs in a prestigious international tournament.
"I know they are able to do it since they made it to the final round in Denmark Open, it proved that they managed to defeat all the big names but they're just lacking confidence sometimes," Christian said.
"I think they need another year or two before they're really ready to replace their 'older brothers' like Candra/Sigit and Luluk/Alven," Christian said.
"For this tournament (singapore open) I don't give a special target for them. I just told them that they should not lose against shuttlers who have lower-skill and techniques compared to them. That's all," Christian added.
