Im quite interested in knowing what level of play most of the people here at BC play at. The grades go from A ( best ) to E ( just social players ). Most intermediates would be categorised in C - D grade. A grades and B grades are the advanced players, where A would include all the professional players and some top national-level players. B-grade players are somewhere in between intermediates and A-grade players. Be honest about this please.. .. I dont expect everyone to be A-grades I'd also like to have a poll attached to this thread, thanks.
i think you better specify what the intermediate grades are between A and E. looks like only JR and TL would be grade A, the majority of us here are just social players.
If you refer to the technique section of this site, you should know that about 10% are actually "advance" player(from an amateur player level stand point),and 89% would call themselves "intermediate"(even though more than half of them are just comparing themselves with the very beginners level), and only about 1% are honest enough to call themselves "beginners"
That's pretty hard to defined.... an A player in Canada may be B or C in China... so... I think I am an E Even locally, I was assess as beginner player. Another coach assess me as intermediate to advance-intermediate (whatever that means lol)
I only eat grade AAA meat. They are the best, it tastes so much better, and it is very tender. Even more tender is filet mignon. Miaow !!!!!!
There is no such thing as a universal grading for all countries so it will be hard to grade everyone.
I think the classification is should be something like this: A - Amature thinking that they're pro's B - Between A and C C - Can finally play some decent badminton D - Day dreaming of becoming a pro E - Everything I do is just wrong So which category are you in now?
Panda has a general guideline: Super A: Professional players. A/A-: Semi-Pro, on the verge of pro. B+/B: An advanced player. Can perform every shot with consistency. Not A- because of the relative lack of (one or more): speed, power, and/or strategy/shot selection (SPS). B-: An intermediate advanced player. Can perform 85% or more of all the shots consistently but has a few weaknesses that can be exposed by the above. C+/C: An advanced intermediate player. Can perform 75% or more of all the shots consistently but has more weaknesses that can be exposed by the above. C-/D+: An intermediate player. Can perform most of all the shots but not consistently. Footwork and strategy OK. D/D-: A beginning intermediate player. Has some footwork and adequate basic shots. Advanced Beginner: Can consistently hit the shuttle. Has minor footwork, can smash, drop, clear, a minor backhand and serve. Intermediate Beginner: Can consistently make contact with the shuttle with an occasional miss. No fundamentals yet. Beginner - Beginner: Just started playing.
im gonna go with B+ to A- since i dont do bad in national tournaments and international ones as well, well the one that i did play. so id say around there im deffinetly trying to go for the top and get to play better nationaly and internationaly if possible so we shall see.
i guess i would be a D- player...though i only been playing for less than a year...but do take the game seriously...but skill level probably dropped by now since im still recovering a MCL tear...
Two Thumbs Up! Nice Guidelines Mr. Panda. I might tell some folks here that I know to use your guidlines if their planning to held club level type tournaments. Since it is more accurate in classifying players skill level. Btw mine is C- / D+.
