there was a list on facebook a while back 3 for 4 months ago about which strings that the Pros used. BG65 AND 65TI is the most used. I personally use the Bg65 TI with great results.
I doubt that. From my impression BG65 and BG65TI is used often, but don't forget BG80. BG80 is the go-to for many many pros. Most european players use BG80. Impossible to count to get a winner, but BG80 is a damn hot candidate.
yes it is. I`m saying in that particular article the 65 and 65ti was still nr one. Aside from that. The players are pretty fickle. If they never used one string I.E. bg65 or 65ti and the stringer says this is the new one BG80 and they win they dont care and if it`s free the better. I`ll try to recover that article and send it to you
well, I recalled when I worked at the 96 Olympics in Atlanta Georgia that all the players had their racquets re-stringed after each match. all their racquets were strung at 32lbs. I tried that when I came back home. I went on the court. First smash broke two strings. In those days it was BG65 only. I was told it`s a matter of how you hit the bird. If you dont it that bird straight on, you will have a break.
Is Lee Chong Wei still using a repainted Z Force 2 with BG66F @ 31 ~ 33 lbs in 2017? I couldn't help but notice that the grommets on his repainted Z force 2 look standard, ie the grommet bumper strips on the ZF2 are non-existent on the 4 quad design.
Just speaking here from my own personal experiences, I don't think durability directly relates to a strings thickness alone, rather it also involves other parameters like string material, braiding patterns, string hardness/softness, coating, etc. Here's my string "breakage" log: 0.70mm BG65 Ti @ 34lbs - 1.5 Months before snapping. 0.69mm NBG 95 @ 28lbs - 3 Months, still going, though its heavily notched. 0.66mm NBG 98 @ 31lbs - 2 Months
Hello strings of the world! Does anybody have information on Takeshi Kamura and Keigo Sonoda? I would like to know what strings thry use and stringing tension. I think both of them use the arcsaber 11? Right? Unless they changed it recently. If you also have any info on the japanese line up for 2017 sudirman Cup, that will be awesome!!
What pros needs totally different from us. We need repulsion, pros need durability (Any string with them still can smash 350+kmph) But ya, thicker string at higher tension, result with thinner gauge. So ya. Perform much better in repulsion.
Searched chen long in the thread before typing this but couldn't find a result so here comes my query. What string does Chen Long use? Inside my Li Ning No.1 packet, I saw his tension written was 32 but couldn't figure out why it was written inside the packet as that's the only Li Ning string I've used. Was it because it's the string used by all those players sometime during their sponsorship with Li Ning or is it the same card stuck inside all packets? So my question is what string is he using? The way he was making some shots in the indonesia open had me confused as No.1 from my experience did not have the texture required to consistently hit those shots. Can someone shed some light on it? Maybe I'm just imagining things.
The card board is the same in all LN packs. No.1, No.5 and No.7. From the advertising he uses No.1, but from pictures of his rackets I think it's No.5. The yellow of No.1 is more pale co pared to No.5 which is full fluo yellow. Just my 2 cents.
Thankyou. That does make sense but are no5 rough enough? Edit: Charlie's comment also makes sense since 80 is full fluorescent yellow in yellow
