currently there are 2 people who likely going to replace LCW (or more than LCW himself), Lee Zii Jia and Leong Jun Hao...

Both of them are still v0.25 so it is best to wait at least until they are 22-23 to see if they are good enough.

seems like Lee Zii Jia still have a very long way to go as LCW 2.0...
meanwhile Iskandar & Soong Joo Ven might be too late for that...
now wait for the beginning of Leong Jun Hao journey to be world beater...

The overall problem with Malaysian juniors is just exactly how much do they want to be on top? The Chinese coaches push and push their players to the limit. Can Malaysian players take the same type of training? Additionally, just how strict does BAM want to be with their players? Look at Japan for banishing Kento Momota right before the Rio Olympics, would Malaysia have done a similar thing? Until BAM coaches and admin instill absolute discipline in the players, Malaysian badminton will continue to lag behind.

Something i don't understand. LJH is on the withdrawn list in swiss 300. Doesn't really make much sense

I believe an injury? Players are often withdrawn due to injury.

Lee Zii Jia has the talent but has very weak mental strength. Ridiculous amount of unforced errors but has good winners.

Only seen this one match of Soong Joo Ven, but I don't think he has it (unless he was much more nervous than he looks)

Despite the low points in his match against shi yuqi yesterday, there were moments of brilliance and creativity in Lee zii jia's plays yesterday. I give him 1 year under misbun's tutelage..he could be giving the big boys of Indonesia and Japan a run for their money

I think it is better to field out Leong Jun Hao in MS3 in Thomas Cup, considering his dynamic style.
Not to mention he is only 18 and would gain a massive experience soon.
Lee Zii Jia is 19 and have a long road ahead of him.

I believe no regret because they trained with each other all the time all these recent years.
It makes sense that they know each-other well.

No one can replace LCW! Chen Long wasn't able to replace LD, because LD and LCW are living legends. The other players are just very very good players.

True, there are no prodigy like LD/LCW anymore, just very good players.
I am more interested in other players creating their own legacy and not living under the shadows of LD/LCW.
