Who wil be the champion of Men Single game?

well,LCW will always be my cup of tea.

I know Lin Dan is the best however,since WC 07 will be held in Malaysia,perhaps LCW will try his best not to let his fans down.Taufik is talented but his performance this year is quite disappointing,i dont put too much hope on him but wish him not to avoid LD's challenge in WC07.

i would say LD will peak at 08 rather than next year, but he must rely on other things on 08 when someone surpasses him in physical fitness

as long as when the game stretch to the 3rd set, LD will most likely win next year, unless someone is spending half an year to train up his stamina for full 3-set + overtime and the game after

even if you can last for 3set and beat LD, you won't win due to exhaustion unless that was the final

saying he's the best in history isn't really accurate.. What about all the other legends like Liem Swie King, YangYang, Han Jian?... hmm...

whoa!!!!!!!amazing!!!!sure?how come LCW still can't beat him???you seem to think that everytime LCW trains or improves, Lin dan is just sleeping in the chinese training camp...fyi, LD is one of the hardest working players in the chinese national team. and please define peak explicitely. do you mean that he is not anymore capable of raising his skills an extra level more????pls specify.

it is because it is very irrelevant of the subject in this thread. how can you judge his performance from one place to another and how can you say his performance this year is his performance next year?

there are so many factors such as training, motivational events., that can affect his performance next year. in accordance to LD's challenge, based on TH's image, he won't back down. who knows he would even start enjoying hendrawan's exercises, may it be physical or mental.
 
Mentally, CW would definitely be stronger on home soil, where about EVERYBODY would be hoping for a grand upset like here during Msian Open. The whole Stadium was screaming his name.

Then Again, Lin Dn would probably be spurred by the challenge. So, now all we can hope for is for both of them to excel next year?

Even the best fall...Like Zhang Ning. Getting beaten by Wang and Xie...

Ya. correct. I wish not only both players would excel but all players. Its the thing that makes a tournament lovely.

I agree with you that if a game goes 3-set, it would favour LD. LD is super fit, just watch him play the 3rd set and he still jump smash, dive for shots and reacts just as fast as in the first set. Jump smash (that is LD trademark), speed, stamina and fitness are LD's weapons. I also agree with you that LD would aim for AG08, and then he would retire or force to retire by the next wave of players coming up...we are taking about a fanatic playing country like China with 1.3 billion to pick from.
 
TH will win....coz i think....maybe this is his last world championship.....when he won at Asian Games.....cos..he had the same thought......Asian Games 2006 was his last Asian Games.....
 
yes his last asian games. but i think he said that his last big tournament are the olympic games. so i think that he will play the wc ^^ ( but i m not sure );-)
 
i think it's going to be lcw,home crowd means a lot,haha
and chongwei certainly will do his best to prove himself .
