They will not win, but I think you should keep an eye out for Russia at the Thomas Cup this year. They have 2 strong MD pairs, and their singles players are also very good (Ivanov in particular)

They should do well, obviously China will win though :)

There should be a poll for who will be the runner-up in the TC this year

I don't think at current stage malaysia can even get past denmark...LCW will win first singles...second and third will most probably go to denmark...MD? If KKK/TBH on form...maybe...if BoMo on form...no chance...

i find it hard to believe that almost 1 in 4 think (hope) the KOR can win.
on average the korean can probably secure one point from the 2 double matches thus require to win 2 out of the 3 singles.

where on earth that 2 single points come from?

    hard to say.

Lee/Jung vs. Fu/Cai is almost 50/50. Fu/Cai can be rather shaky as we saw from the AE final.

Ko/Yoo vs. Chai/Guo is almost 50/50. head to head is 2-1 for the Chinese. with Ko/Yoo winning the most recent encounter in December.

CHN do have upper hand on LD vs. LHI.
SWH is actually not bad on #2. CL can lose to the strangest of players. head-to-head CL leads 2-1.
and then PSH vs. CJ. well, CJ is CJ. head-to-head is 3-3

as a whole, surely not a 50/50, but certainly not a complete loss either. KOR can be a dangerous dark horse in team matches. as we have seen in 2003 SC and 2010 UC.

^Kwun I don't think Park is playing, he's still injured. I believe that they are fielding Hong Ji Hoon as MS3...

This match depends on SWH vs CL, LYD/JJS vs Cai/Fu and Ko/Yo vs Chai/Guo

Edit: Korea could field Kim/Kim va Chai/Guo also.

I think DEN has a better chance of upsetting CHN. KOR MS won't stand a chance against CHN.

MAS should bring in ZZ to satisfy the "opposition" and to inject a surprise to confound the opponents. He may be the savior, provided KKK/TBH performed their best act.

KOR seems good enough as runner-up.

Since MAS is unlikely to win the TC according to the poll, might as well give ZZ the exposure since so many pro-independent KLRC supporters have been clamoring for his inclusion. Then "taxpayers' money" will be better spent to prepare MAS' future star.
