LXR is the true Chinese third WS if not second. If there is one more super series before UC, i pretty sure she would overtake WSX. I pretty sure WX, WSX and LXR will take turn. If WYH for some reason lost the first point, I still trust this team can win back the UC.

I'm pretty certain LXR will be fielded as WS3 at least and stand ready as 1st choice to replace WS1 or WS2 should any of them falter. LXR is the most in-form and star player at the moment and LYB would want to capitalize on that. Trust her to deliver and live up to expectations.

Besides it should stand her in good stead to put her through the mill and if she comes out of such pressure-cooker situation admirably or at least unscathed,it will only serve to toughen her into a more formidable player. Wang Yihan is just such an examplary case.

Problem is as WS3 she may have few if any chance of playing and hardly be tested.

we should have "tumpeng" rice if any country other than China win Uber Cup 2012. I hope Korean/Japan lift the uber cup tho.

I have no doubt that LXR will be tested about her ability to cope with pressure. I think there is a good chance she will play WS2 in some games with JYJ play WS3. JYJ is more than enough to play WS3 for chinese team. How they field LXR will reflect how much trust chinese team has on LXR.

Honestly, this year the result is quite predictable. Moreover, the chinese team play in their own backyard. I pretty sure 2010 incidence won't happen again in Wuhan. Perhaps it is more interesting to predict who will be their opponents in the final.

Not a bad idea at all. Good proposition for LXR to play WS2 as JYJ is reliable and more than capable of handling WS3. Then we'll get more chances to see LXR show her prowess under trying circumstances. Hope LYB take up your suggestion.

a bit difficult as JYJ is not included in the team
LXR is the 4th ranked singles in the team, the only position for her to play is WS3 in the group matches

There goes our wishful thinking, thanks for pointing it out that JYJ isn't in the team. You mean there is only 1 reserve WS and one of the WDs have to double up as the next reserve if needed?

Yes, I believe China has named 4 singles and 3 doubles for both Thomas and Uber Cups

Nope, I don't think so. You can only rely on those registered, even if asking double players to play single. Remember WCH's injury in Tokyo?

No, I don't think China need the 3rd single.

If Wang Yihan fails to deliver against Sung Jihyun of all people, then she is in deep trouble. Not China to that extent. Their doubles are quite strong and LXR can close the match singlehandly

When i say in trouble means her Olympics prospect
