    The world WS challengers seem extremely thin this year. Save for Saina, they don't have much to put up against arguably, the weakest WS team CHN has put out in years. I will put an asterist against Tine's name as she has been absent from the circuit for quite a while; I am not expecting great things from her. In reality if a CHN player wins the WS (especially either from the top half), I'd say the timing couldn't have been better.

    (That said, I still expect a CHN player from the bottom half+ Saina to thrash it out)

    Answer: The Womens Singles and the Mens Doubles.

    Gosh, Wang Xin still leads the poll. Please pick another player beside her. I hope she won't get jinxed by BC polling's curse. #lol

    IMO, beside Tine, Schenk has the ability to make an upset againt China's great wall. She beat WYH at last year edition. But too bad, she will have to fight with Tine at qquarterfinal.

    2010 BWF WC: LYB thinks CHina will gain 3 gold, only have difficulties in XD and MD

    .
    From that thread, Post #123;
    Again, it's only what LYB thinks. But what he hopes for is 5 Gold.

    We will never know: With great determination from the CHN players, 5 Gold is still a possibility.

    I am just as confused as you are. :eek::eek::eek:

    We need to talk to LYB personally to find out his thoughts.

    ..i think the confusion stems from the many news reports with their own different interpretation. I think for now, the only consistent discipline which LYB thinks CHN will have difficulty in getting a Gold medal in is the MD..

    I am not too sure of that, if there is a weak Wang, then it is WL...I think WYH can rebound, also, it is better to have WL in her half...the other 2 Wangs will 'kill' each first. If WYH gets to the final, that depends on who she face and anything can happen. But if she meet WX or WSX, then I don't think she can win.

    WYH is lucky to have the weakest CHN Wang on her half. We don't know what Tine's form is like but playing in Europe will likely help her. I'm expecting to see WYH make heavy work of her matches–I actually think her size works against her. She comes across as a "worker" with no special shot, kinda like Chen Jin. And even then she labours uncomfortably around the court. I don't think WYH will make the final

    i voted Wang Xin. out of all the current batch of new Chinese players, i am most impressed by her. if i were able to choose a runner up then it will be Saina but fate has it that they are in the same half.

    WX technique is beautiful to watch andI like WSX too, too bad they are in the same half...I predict she and WSX will meet in the SF and that to me is the WSF. At her age, I hope she wins, not that much chance being in CHN team...the irony is winner of WS does not get to defend their title, 2 times it has happens.
