Gao Ling will try to level a record or even create a new record in World Championship.

Park Joo Bong hold the most gold medalist in this event with 5 gold. Next is Gao Ling with 4 gold. If GL win one tomorrow, she will level up with PJB. And if she win 2, she will create new record.

She probably will do all out tomorrow cause maybe she will not get into final next year World Championship. Cause there is no sure 100% guarantee even for player as good as Gao Ling to always enter World Championship final.

Still remember All England 2006 WD final. She and Huang meet YW/ZJW who always beat them if they met.

Gao already play in mix final. Then she had to play in WD final. Third set, she and Huang Sui already fall far behind and managed somehow to claw their way out, catch up and win the title to create a record as All England WD winner six times in a row.

I watched the game yesterday when Gao/Zheng vs Limpele/Marissa. I really thought that CHN was going to lose; they came back from 3 points deficit in 3rd set. Gao Ling seemed exhausted already!

Gao Ling is a superb player; however, I don't think she will be able to capture both gold this time.

Gao Ling is a cheerful player, she smiles when she wins and she smiles when she loses - imho, that's what makes her one of the greatest badminton player.

for XD, its really hard to say. but ZB has performed extremely well in the semis (from what i can see). if he can maintain it, i think china will win.

for WD, i think the factor lies with YW/ZJW. its just whether they're motivated enough to move a tired GL around like what the japanese did in the semis

anyway, she will probably be the best WD/XD player ever
