If any of you guys know any caterers, I offer my place (in Seri Petaling) as the meeting spot. Unless we can find a better alternative ...
hcyong, Sri Petaling town centre has a few restaurants that has catering services, why not pick from close to home.
Yeah, perhaps I will take a look during the weekend. Question is whether you guys are ok with this arrangement? And secondly, do I have to cater for 'halal' food or other types of food (vegetarian etc.)?
hcyong, halal, of course, else I will just be drinking juice :crying:. Vegans, please own up. algote, walk along KESAS huh? Not recommended, need to cater for "aged n unfit" forummers after "a hard workout".
Can we confirm the Saturday schedule before we do anything? According to http://www.internationalbadminton.o...ORLD BADMINTON CHAMPIONSHIP SCHEDULE 2007.xls there may be matches for the whole night.
I confirm that I can do something (halal local fare) at my place on Sat night. I will give the go-ahead if 1. you guys are ok with it 2. enough people will participate (I think at least 15 should be a good number); if less than that we may as well eat out. 3. the semi-final matches are over by then
Wow, I'm so excited now. I'll go & have a look this Sunday. I like the idea of having local food & fruits. See u guys. Btw, Jaclyn, ur house has karaoke or not? Oh yes, is there any vegetarians coming?
Actually, I already had a lot of Satay & very nice yellowish dry & small seeded durian in KK. I don`t mind to have more. My friends say Satay in KK is much better than in KL. I will make a comparison.
Me,and most probably with another two buddies from Alor Star whom you may recognize.I need a ride if they are not joining me.The probability of them going too is good as I expect our men's doubles to be in contention till the very last.
If you are up to walking it is about a 30-minute walk away. If you are familiar with the location of Endah Parade, getting there from the stadium is halfway. If not, we can fetch by car a few rounds. I have a car and my sister has one so I don't think we need more than 3 rounds. Plus, others may have vehicles as well.
If this plan goes through, we will meet somewhere at the stadium and I will give out location maps to the drivers/walkers. Tentatively, I will order nasi beryani with the usual dishes (slightly less than the head count - perhaps even half the head count if there are lots of other things to try), I will also get satay from the Kesas place that someone mentioned before. There are fruit stalls in Seri Petaling and if anyone fancies durian or other local fruits, go ahead. What else can you think of?
Just to be sure, can be 1. be make sure that Saturday's matches will be on two courts (and therefore will end around six or seven pm)? ants, are you able to find out? 2. if (1) is ok, can we have another headcount latest by Thursday night (MAS time GMT+8). I may also PM those on the list to confirm their attendance, or maybe they can do so verbally when they meet me at the stadium. I just want to have a ballpark figure of the number.
