They are all prepared. Not only for the big foes , but the small foes as well. The Msian players definately take one game at a time and not underestimate their opponents even the lower ranked one.

So why did the coach dream of 4 semi finalists when one pair is injured?

So many possible reasons but most of all, the Japanese pair was playing better. Lets move on and hope better day for Team Malaysia tomorrow :crying:

Well you can't retract your statement and ask the press to put it on newspaper and state that "one player had a slight back pain, dream of all pairs in quarterfinal may not come true" that will not motivate the players for sure.

I was about to launch a diatribe against Ong Soon Hock when I read about his injury here. His play was just pathetic. But anyway, he was injured, so...

The Japanese did very well to take advantage of that. Their combination was superb.

Not a wise one because it puts them under tremendous pressure to deliver when they only have 50% control of the outcome.
Having said that, it does not take away from the fact that Rexy's a terrific coach.
I hope the loss is a blessing in disguise and gives OSH the opportunity to recover from his injury. Continued play would have made it worse. It's important he should not shoulder the blame because it's one of those unfortunate things. May BAM allow him the time to recover properly. He still has great potential and with it,more future opportunities.Wish him all the best for a full recovery.

TBS/OSH & Lydia Cheah both loss.. Would it be another bad start for MAS?? Hopes not as in Last year WC at Anaheim in which CCM have to pull out of the tournament due to his Dad passed away.. Sounds similar of bad luck has hit the MAS as OSH gets injured just on the edge of WC commenced.

Yeah, this is a psychological stragegy. Korean's new MD coach HAE Tae Kwon said "I don’t see anyone but Korea winning the doubles title" Now Rexy is the first to suffer a blow. Let's see who is next. :D

Do you also think that having Chandra Wijaya playing in the Japanese league has created some kind of jolts to the Japanese players? at least perhaps more motivations?

Candra Wijaya playing the the Japan League has not much effect on the overall result of the Japanese Doubles players. He only play at a club level. Anyway good to know that the Japanese pair played well. I hope they will go far too.

Nippon's Park Joo Bong is the force behing Japanese Doubles today... Surely not Chandra.

Korea's Ha Tae Kwon... er he has to prove himself more as a coach. He is not bad, so far...

INA should reassign Christian to just MD. His forte is teaching doubles. Even though he has reached the All England singles finals before too [so he's not that shabby as a singles player]... Not many people have ever reached the All England MS finals... Christian did.
