man . . . not a good way for MAS to end the night . . . oh well I guess u really can't win em all . . .
RH turn on his afterburner, his last cup of juice. come on CJ, wake up!!!! You can turn off the cruise control now. Just pedal to the metal to the finish line Maybe CJ being nice, not want to embarass RH too much
Overrated. No fighting spirit at all. Maybe they've forgot abt their mission in clearing path for their teammates after all?
Time to go to bed @ Malaysian supporters Hope you get some other birthday presents @ vching 9-19 for CJ btw
so much for him to get a wild card to enter this WC but got outplayed terribly by chen jin. it seems his great day has gone already but MAS is still keeping him. i still prefer WCH instead of roslin....
Selection of players for tournaments not based solely on world rankings 15/08/07, 11:07:02 WORLD ranking alone will not be used as a guideline for selection of players for future major international events. The national coaches were instructed yesterday to come out with a clear selection guideline in a bid to strengthen the Badminton Association of Malaysia's (BAM) selection process. As part of the selection, the coaches will have to work closely with the National Sports Institute (NSI) to determine the players' fitness level. The BAM secretary, P. Ganga Rao, said after a coaching and training committee meeting yesterday: “It is the responsibility of the BAM to select the best team. “We now want our coaches to decide on who they want to send. Do they want to expose juniors? This has proven to be a wise move. We named Tan Wee Kiong-Woon Khe Wei (mixed doubles) for some of the major tournaments, including the ongoing world championships. And it has benefited these players. “Yes, this guideline is for both national and club players. In future, club players will be subjected to our new and stringent guideline.” Currently, the BAM practises an open door policy in selecting players for major tournaments. Under the new guideline, club players from Nusa Mahsuri and KLRC Bhd will likely have to undergo fitness tests. They will also have to be part of the centralised training programme prior to a major tournament.
now only BAM realizes that ranking does not matter when it comes to the major tournament. Players have to be fit physically and mentally to be able to participate in the tournament and beat top players from other countries. However, MAS's problem is they are lack of skillful players and talent to get the action right, not like CHN. Have to wait for a long time for that.
honestly, I expected worst... He put on some good fight in first game... but too bad... so, thats all for day 3....
