Hehe..who do i think will win??

Chris... Who will u bet in the Gigantic QF between LD * TH?
:)..well, i'm not a betting person, Sam, so i won't bet on that gargantuan titanic battle:p...For now, let's just hope, at least i'm hoping, NONE of the participants, esp. the top players, will be stranded or have trouble getting to KL or worst pull out or get injured prior to the WC (we had that happened in 2005 WC with NRobertson injuring his ankle after his flight was delayed in England, due to the BA's employees going on a strike)..:p;)

Its really looks like a perfect draw here.. Except the two giants meeting in MS QF... Yeah Lets pray hard for nobody will withdraw on last minutes

wat about HAFIZ??? his dream to bounce back at tis WC seems to end at 3rd round where he will meet TAUFIK

I would say Hafiz has a decent draw even though he may have to meet Taufik on 3rd round if both of them get that far. It's easier to beat Taufik on the early round than later base on past record. Further more, playing as underdog is always pressure free.

So,....its confirmed now that TH will compete in WC07.....good news...but i think he will not go 100%....as he is still thinking of his wife and unborn baby...so LD ....may play somebody else in QF....and its going to be a very easy QF for LD....

You already find excuse for Taufik 2 weeks before the tournament start :D

In 2 weeks time anything might happened.. Who knows TH might just give away the match or fight for toe & nails in WC ?:D

Well,no matter how good his draw is,he still have to be wary and give out all fight to the player and hope he will be ruthless to every player on court, good luck to LCW.

Yes, just take one game at a time and play the best you can play then the rest will be taking care by itself.

Also interesting is the fact that Howard Bach will be participating with Bob Malaythong while Tony is pairing with Candra. If Howard and Bob can keep up, they'll meet Tony and Candra in the quarters!

Actually..

..some members of the U.S National team are participating, see link for this yr's U.S. team: http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=39606&page=3 (post #53)
As well as a couple of Junior players in the WD and XD event:cool:..How about a Tony and Howard re-pairing..:p;)

I wonder why there isn't any Thai player in all of the 5 draws. I love the Sudket Prapakamol/Saralee Thungthongkam pair. It'd be a shame not seeing them in action in this world championship. :(

Oh thanks ctjcad. Now I'll have to wait till next year to see sudket and saralee to give a shot to the world championship. :(

But I'm so glad to see Zhang Jiewen back in action. She's always been my favourate badminton player. :)

No problem but errmm..

..that, you have to wait 2 more yrs, til 2009 (in India;))...Next yr there is the Olympics, thus NO World Championships..So, if you'd like, you can visit Beijing and watch all of your fave players there..And yes, the Thai players you mentioned should have another shot @ the WC in 2 yrs..;)

I would love to see Tony pair up with Howard again! It's good that US badminton is getting its players out there for experience for the future of the sport. I hope Tony and Candra win this years WC though, it will probably be their last year contending with the Olympics coming up next year.

..Tony and Candra win the WC title, it'll be a trifecta for them, as they would have won all the top "prestigious" individual titles *together*;):)..cross fingers!:p;)
Gold Medalist 2000 Sydney Olympic (with Candra Wijaya)
Gold Medalist 1999 All England (with Candra Wijaya)

Both pairs have played with each other many times during practice. However Candra and Tony will still have the upperhand.
