YESSS....my PAW is saved....as Yang Wei/Zhang Jiewen beat their counterpart Wei Yili/Zhang Yawen also in three gruelling sets 19-21, 21-18, 21-16. Zhang Yawen could have been exhausted as they were leading 13-10 before the veteran pair took control and win the game. They will play Gao Ling/Huang Sui and I will be rooting for them.

The JAP pair gives pretty good resistance until it was 14-14.
Then, the KOR pair manages to string a few consecutive points and eventually take the first set 21-16.

Will there be a comeback in the second set?

If and only IF the Koreans win tomorrow, Lee Yong Dae could be the youngest MD World Champ ever... I don't have the data right now, but if he is not the youngest, then one of the youngest...

Jung Jae Sung/Lee Yong Dae are through to the Final after a straight-set 21-16, 21-12 victory over the giant-killer Shuichi Sakamoto/Shintaro Ikeda in just 34 mins.
