go to show how competitive it is among the china team. One year ur the WC champ, next year ur considered too slow and no good anymore. Next.....

IMO, XXZ is better than BCL but BCL is younger so has more potential to improve (so LYB think) for the 08 OG. XXZ has no hope for the 08 OG so why bother in LYB's eyes.

Yep, I recently found out on occasion, I play with and against Lin Dan's younger cousin who's here in SoCal. He told me that LD and XXZ plan to both retire after the 2008 year, get married and have children.

In fact no .. XXZ really wants to continue his badminton career .. but he has been dropped out from the men's single. So now he's going to be a coach until OG 08 but after he doesn't know at all because he has many choices .. he really wants to go overseas but he has a family in china and for sure a job (coach for the national team).
And xxz is already retired =p so don't need to retire after OG 08 =p

Bring him to America! We'll have Tony/Halim in doubles and XXZ in singles. Not a shabby roundup!

Actually, I was talking with some local buddies the other day on this.

Think about now Tony/Halim/Howard (hope more upcoming ones as well) can form some considerable MD pairs. If XXZ comes, limit his ranking, but let him play 3rd MS in TC event. Wow, US will have 2 pairs of decent MD (even though 2nd pair might be still weak), and 1 super strong MS #3 (not many nation can match this MS#3, I suppose). Are we talking about US taking a spot in the TC? :p

xia no doubt is an enthusiastic badminton player..
you can tell he likes it so much, in his recent singles match when he lost he looked really really disappointed and sad, probably knowing LYB is going to cut him off the team..
Lets hope he will make a move oversea and continue his badminton career!!

    Off topic-Gotcha..

..hehe, i see & no problem...Actually, my thought (on assumptions, which IMO, is not good) was based on :
    1. After reading the article, i concluded that XXZ will retire soon, if not already "officially" retired from CHN's team. So if that's the case, then there's *no way* he'll participate in OG '08..
    2. ..thus, if LD keeps playing & decides to "officially" retire in '08, then XXF must follow the footsteps of LD...retire as well & get married/start a family..So i thought our NGP meant to say, XFF instead of XXZ..;):)
