Oh well, this is a very surprising news for me. I know it is unfair perhaps for Chen/Jia, but I think with hundreds of Polii/Apriyani matchday videos circulating on youtube and other online platforms, also the fact that that Chen/Jia already play vs Polii/Apriyani lots of time, there is always an adjustment that can be made during the real match.

But anyway, I'd say that the main factor Chen/Jia lost is because they were too nervous. Especially when they lost the tight/close G1, then they become worse and worse in the G2.
It did not matter a lot if Grey/Apri spent hours and hours of spying monitor training of Chen/Jia, if they were not step up and being confident during the real match. Things can change a lot and very dynamic during the real match.

I think in badminton professional match at the highest level, the mentality counts more (if not much more) than the technical/skill ability. Olympics have already produced many examples of surprising defeat of the 1st seed or top seed (Lin Dan, Athens 2004; Gao Ling XD 2008; Ahsan/Setiawan 2016, etc. etc.).

And I also the timing of publishing the book before Paris Olympic 2024, I think this is may be the marketing/strategy matters for the writer and publisher to sell more books during the momentum of Olympic nearby...
Of course the most important thing for All Indonesia People is that we can wrap at least one gold medal in Badminton.

GO GO GO INDONESIA!!!
:D
