Have you ever thought about fixing your skill. I have never heard somone complaint about not having enough power. Maybe your technique isn't right
I didn't say anything about power. Yes i have the 4u. I don't know. Something is missing. Maybe true, my technique is not as good as other people. The thing is. AS77 is one of the racket that i need time to adjust with. I am using ZS and N9II, coming from ZF2. I have no problems with either of them; i can use them both right out of the bag. With AS 77; my shot always doesn't go like i meant them to be.. Smashes a bit flatter or net.. net balls too high or low. Strange. Maybe if i use it more regularly it can go well.. but the easy mistake does not happen with my other two rackets.
@Popin are you able to get a view at the D also? Looking forward to hear from your thoughts about the S
Firstly, I am not an expert of racket judgement, just a common consumer, so I cant contribute an in-depth review. And second, I own Li Ning N9II and Yonex Nanoray Z-Speed in comparison (because I am used to play in rear court). I wanted to try this racket because I like to play fast pace game and also try to dominate the front court. My first impression was this racket is quite unique in its weight distribution if you hold the racket downwards. Moreover, it fells both heavy and light to swing (whether its a clear or lob). I think in general 88S needs a lot of play time to get used to. I have tried Astrox 77 and JS10 and I have to admit 88S could swing faster for a lot of different shots (I havent tried Arcsaber 11). Net play was also astounding because of its unique head. Smash was crisp and so accurate, and it could also produce great power when you could bring the power yourself (just like Voltric FB) My opinion of 88S is that you need a lot of skills and great technique all-round to achieve what this racket could really deliver. Cant wait for Kevin Sanjaya to show this powerful racket in its full potential in AE. I couldnt find a 3U one, so decided to just get the S with 4U
Interested on buying both ax88d & ax88s upon launching. what spec should i buy. 3u or 4u... currently using 3u nrzp, 3u arc 11 and 4u zf2... any advice.
Your racket history alone suggests that you have the capability to wield both models in 3U. It's more down to what you want really. Sent from my LG-H930 using Tapatalk
According to Yonex website "Making the whole frame flexible allows the“ASTROX 88 S”to hold the shuttlecock for accurate control, while the“ASTROX 88 D” has more flex in the upper part of the frame transmitting maximum power to the shuttlecock to break through the opponents." Does it means the frame is flexible? normally hear only shaft is flexible..
poor torsional strain will make shot making unstable, but frame stiffness in that case should be more near the T-joint.
I think about buying one of the 88´s surely in 4U. I just don´t know wich one will suit me better. How was the power of your smashes with the S?
If you want to go 4U and are worried about smash power, I'd suggest the 88D. Sent from my LG-H930 using Tapatalk
Have you tried one of them already? I am afraid that i can lose too much control in net area with the D. I also don´t know how hh the D really is compared to ax77, as the chart from yonex is not really reliable as many users said.
