Depends on the tension and head size, which determines how much of the string goes in the racket but with the whole Momota and Aerosonic/Aerobite fan club we will reach below 3.0g with ease.

Can anyone do a comparison of the 3u and 4u version?

I've been playing with the 3u version and I'm loving it. Such a great all rounder.

I'll be getting the 4u racket to trial in a week or so. I hope it's an easy decision to make between the two.

I've hit with my friend's 4U. Its exactly like the 3U but faster and slightly less powerful. Much better for doubles but I would still use the 88D because apparently it is faster with similar power. The 99 3U is still really powerful frame, but the 4U is more forgiving because it is on a carbon diet(aka, not as heavy).

But what I felt most from the 99 is the control. If you have good footwork and are early to a shot, you can get a lot of control from wrist. Sure, power is there from smash and what not, but IMO, I love the balance of control and power it has.

There are times when the more yonex makes this kind of marketing gimmicks the more i dont believe them anymore.

Hello Guys, I was just wandering if any of you in here could compare Yonex AX99 with the old Victor SW 35, which I know is also a formidable HH and a stiff racquet?
I would like a reaction from a 4U premise if possible.
    Cheers!

    Oh wow look....Sunrise Warehouse Sale...with ZF2 at 130SGD. Yeah I'm buying that.

    *Few minutes later*

I've had a few of those tho and I sorely miss my 88s. I guess I'll go for that 88D at 180SGD. No known issues with production or QC. Should be perfect.

*Sees a 5 minute video of Momota in All Japan 2018 knowing it doesn't mean anything as far his own performance is concerned*

Astrox 99 it is it seems. No discount? Oh well, I'll manage somehow. Still a kidney left afterall.
Sinking issues? *Crosses fingers and decides for it regardless*

So you ended up parting ways with the 88s, or did it not survive your tensions?

Does ax99 hold the shuttle a long time like the arc11?
