Also, i have heard with rackets that have a smaller compact head (like my TK9900) you can usually drop a couple of lbs so it doesnt feel to tight, making the sweetspot too small
In all honesty, it'll be very difficult to tell since I've only ever used it at 27lbs and have nothing to compare it with. What I can say is that after 20hrs of usage some tension is bound to get lost, how much though I cannot tell you. All I can say that it still plays great and I may try to string it a little higher next time just to experiment what tension suits me best for this string and I suggest you do the same. It's all part of the fun! I've played with compact heads before but never owned one to be able to experiment with different strings so I won't be able to help you with that unfortunately.
I hear this string is now available as a twin reel. That's good news! Paul www.badminton-coach.co.uk.
Yea I saw them for sale a while back. Reals are only in Red/White though. Thing is the reels are sold for 40% less at my local Authorised Yonex Dealer. They're obviously not the Japan versions though since the packaging is all in english. Does anyone know if there play any different? I'm aware JP and CN ver of LN strings are different and wonder if it's the case for Yonex too?
I was about to buy a reel of Aerobite when I noticed it says 200m. What this means is that the red is 95m and Aerosinic is 105m. So, whilst I thought this was a great saving, it's a lie. The reel will only cover 10 rackets and I worked out this meant the single sets were actually cheaper. Now, if there was 200m of each string for this price I would have bought it, but that's not the case. Big moral here...read the small print Paul www.badminton-coach.co.uk
Are you sure? 95m of red should be enough for 17 / 18 racquets, it's used only for the mains. 105m is enough for 20+ racquets when used for the crosses. I'm not sure though why we don't get 105m of red and 95m of aersosonic.
Same here. I don't get why it's not the other way around since that is the case for packet. 2 feet more red mains.
Hi Paul, you must've been mistaken. The main (red) is 105m, whereas the Cross (white) is 95m. Photo credits to Calibre Australia (currently retailing for AUD138.60 a reel - quite a steal I reckon)
Also 10m per racquet, 200m = 20 racquets. How are you using 10m each for mains and crosses? Sent from my SM-J510FN using Tapatalk
Seems it's normal practise here but stringers refuse to do a racket on the machine and will pre weave every string before pulling because it takes longer and there are too many rackets (which makes it twist and it doesn't seem to play as nice for some reason at first. Almost as if there's uneven tension across the stringbed). So out of necessity rather than choice, I've decided to fully shift to aerobite. As only then you're given the premium service (rightfully so since it costs 2 1/2 times more than a BG65 job which is the most requested string) of having your racket strung on the machine. Now the question is do I go +2 on crosses for this or not. Aerosonic on it's own barely made it through a day without any mishits at 32 but it was the main that went each time. Will I have to drop down a bit?
If assuming you're getting out of this reel is normally 20 rackets. Doesn't this make the mains 5.25m and crosses 4.75m? I normally use 5.5/4.5. Crosses seems a bit long?
Was thinking the same thing, 5.5/5 was the ratio in packs, but I think 5.25 should be fine for mains.
yes, my mistake, - second moral, don't type whilst being pestered by your kids and lose your train of thought. Paul
Look forward to testing these out. Now wondering what tension AS should be at since I'll go +2. 32? 33?
