BWF, Plz refrain from playing Strange,Noisy songs out of nowhere especially when important rallies are going on during the match. If you want to announce player's name, you can wait a bit and use your brain and make sure players don't get disrupted.Yesterday,my idol Lin Dan was about to win a rally and suddenly an awful, tasteless, loud music was played which disrupted LD's focus and hence he,lost the rally...
Yes. If I remember correctly, it is Wang Xin in an interview who mentioned this policy, around 2009-10
"Ring my bell" is still ringing in my head.. :crying:
Thumbs up,we need to raise the voice against this terrible setup. Also, when opposite court players leave the court, all different sorts of light are used which makes atleast me lose the sight of shuttle for a moment on active court.Very annoying.
i think you must be right. that must be the reason why Jiang YJ left the team, who never make a sound during or after rally.
I supposed the tournament organizer's intention with all those music and lighting is to entertain the crowd and TV viewers while forgetting that badminton fans want to concentrate on their favourite player's match without distraction or disruption.
Yesterday,LD made a successful dive and then reached the perfect position to hit a backhand clear but unfortunately he realised that he didn't have the racket in his hand.Quite Hilarious at first look. 3-1,first set.
Could it be ZN's instruction or purpose was misunderstood and misinterpreted? Perhaps she meant only for the players to be more expressive, urge themselves on and let of steam, not so much to disturb the opponent or try to gain any indirect advantage as that would risk violating the tournament rules. Don't forget, Zhang Ning herself was never guilty of it as far as I know. And, yes, every player's character is different, nobody should be forced to be what she is by nature not, at most you can try and encourage or persuade her to give it a shot to see if it is beneficial within acceptable limit, to each her own.
I actually missed this part while waiting for live TV broadcast which was delayed due to tennis overrun.
At the Denmark Open, Lin Dan celebrates his birthday, 14th Oct, with his fans
Actually,LD is quite cool, intelligent and at the same time funny as well.Would love to meet him one day.I have good experience of meeting with celebrities so far.I am sure LD will just add to those experience.
