Just looked it up. Poulsen is born in 1993. So still a young player (as European players peak later than Asians).

Good fight by her, but Marin should take the second set by some margin.
Let´s see whether the Dane can prove me wrong ;)

21-19 for Marin in the first game. A close shave

With CHN MD still struggling and their two OG spots up for grabs, why wouldn't the junior promising pair, Li/Liu, not have a go at it ? I'm pretty sure Liu/Qiu want it as much, if not more; neither pair would let slip any opportunity to consolidate their position and be in the running for a ticket to Rio.

SBC is experienced though. He beat Z/Z in Asian Games final back in 2010 too, although with a different partner.

Indeed they did. Remarkable even more because ZZ came back to the lead from 13:17 to 18:17, but the Korean MX made (21:18)!!!!!!

    Zhang/Zhao lost - a wake-up call or just an isolated incident ?

i agree, I thought that was a bit hasty conclusion. Specially as the two teams were inconsistent throughout the match

Poulsen not giving up in G2, still trying hard to keep close to Marin.

I spoke too soon, when the score was 12-14...Poulsen's agony is over.

Marin is leading 11-10 at the interval. Poulsen is doing the play though.
But Poulsen break down after that and Marin takes it 21-13
