Waiting for people to say that any area outside the Horizontal A Concept sweet spot would be numb and flaccid.... like what happened in the Zspeed thread..

Because it is. If you missed the tiny sweet spot on the Z-Speed you could forget about any feel at all, let alone shot quality.

Looks like dzs is less head heavy, like I said I think this is for the gap people thought the z speed would be.

According to the pictures above it's head-heavier than the Z-Speed, though.

I've never understood how YY have convinced themselves that the Z Speed is as light as they show in graphs.

Anyway I thought the numbness from outside the sweet spot came from the bendy frame technology at the sides?

How is it the racquet's fault if the player doesn't hit properly anyways? o_O

The issue is that the racket provides very little feedback in terms of what was a 'right' hit. I think this is because Yonex put in the Snap Back Zone technology, which causes the racket to flex at the middle. This would basically dampen any shot in it. Unfortunately, the good area of sweet spot only starts at the 3rd~4th cross, so you don't have a big area you can hit without hitting the Numb Zone Technology.

Aren't you using 31lbs of LN#1? So you should be used to small sweet spots.;)

Anyway when it comes down to equipment we have all a different taste. Never understand the overwhelming praise of #1, but I'm not interested to put you off.

Not at the moment :D we use speed 3/77s in an unheated hall, which in winter, sucks. I'm not hitting on 30/31 at this time of year. I also have no no.1 left, and BG80 is honestly too hard for me. I only use 25~27 on BG80, got Ashaway 66 Fire Power @ 28 in my racket right now.

Besides... I never said I had issues with the sweet spot on it. I only ever used it as a backup racket anyway. It didn't feel anything special either way to me.

Wow...look at all the hate already. All on the negative. And before the racket is released???

Just because the Z speed failed for you (and it damn sure worked for many top players), you guys went and buried the Z speed. Now you're comparing it to the Z speed only because of the horizontal A concept? What about the snap back zone? That's far more likely the reason why the Z speed failed for you. This likely will be closer to a ZF II/NR 900 combination than a Z speed.

Marginally different frame in a Duora LOL. Have you tried the Duora 10?

I don't know if you are referring to me, but I'm just speculating. I thought the Z-Speed was a very special, unique and difficult to use racket. So if they could have indeed improved the feeling and overall made a more user friendly and head-heavier version of it, I'm really hyped.

The z-speed has the same problem which people did complaint about the original victor hx800 yet still ample are being used. Both are outstanding rackets within their own class at high tension.
Beside, Its about time we have a new flagship yonex.

I'm looking forward to testing this racket. It's unfair to abuse any racket without first testing it. I expect this racket will be on show at All Englands in March and I hope to review some time in April.

If Axelson is using this racket then it's got to be pretty good. There's no need or pressure for him to change racket. At this level players generally only change racket if something better is introduced. So if it takes priority place in Axelson's bag then we should good performance.

The way he played in the Indian Badminton League could very well mean he's using the Z-Strike. :D

I used to own a Zspeed for a year until it broke by itself, TBH it not a bad racket in fact it's very good and I love it .... it still has a special position deep in my heart ! i don understand why ppl hate it so much , yes it's a difficult racket to use which will takes time to tame it; you just cant take it and play it and blame the racket when you're not familiar with it. Hmm.......
