Congrats to the Taipei Pair Lee/Lee.

However, i think BoeMogensen is just tired and like really super super tired and its such a close score is a testament to their strength..

I have never seen BoeMo so flat footed in their matches like this, this year, getting faked so many times, running into each other crashing into each other, you name it. Today they do play like old Men for the first time this yeae imo.In their worst defeat this year at Japan, thry dont even play that bad like today.

So its lucky day for Lee/Lee

Sorry to say it’s not luck, but time...which catches up with everyone. Bo/Mo had their time, but the next generation has arrived.

The great players that can still be there were gone (or change partners or injured) last year though, Ko Sung Hyun, Kim Hana, Goh Liu Ying, Chan Peng Soon, Ma Jin, Zhang Nan
So yeah, it is quite weak atm

In a way that is true. However, the new pairs are younger and fitter too and Natsir is only playing at 70% every tournament. If she is fit then yes she will win all the SS but its still dominated by ChinesePair and its China strongest sector imo.

The top of the league badminton has changed so much post Olympics .. the supreme trio of LD, LCW, CL dont look the same anymore .. MD has changed completely with the exit of Fu Haefeng, LD/YYS, KonSung Hyun/Shin Baek Cheol, Kim Sa Rang, Ahsan breaking up his partnership with Setiawan ... Women's doubles too seems a bit different with Wangs, Li Xierue gone .. man old ones are all almost gone, new legends are being made here

it's negative for sure and i find it unacceptable for a professional player although him being 34 yrs old excuses it a tiny bit
it's nothing of skin color or racial discrimination or the sort
i just find the apparent lack of fitness among some Danish players --- very dumb

Nothing to do with racial discrimination, I know. I still find it offending since it is related to skin colour. Is it even possible for an asian to turn red like that?
You could also say that it is dumb that the fit guys cannot beat the less fit. There are more aspects to the game than fitness. Bo/Mo are not very muscular. That is clear to everyone. But their strength and stamina are more than fine for the way thay play MD.

oh and the thing Denmark said few years ago about sport science makes it even more dumb and ironic

Please enlighten me.. I have no idea what you are referring to. But since "Denmark" said it, I feel I should.

I do not call someone who won a few tournaments or number 1 for a year as a legend.

If Srikanth only had tied his shoes properly in the match vs SWH he could be the World champion :(

Do you think MisakiAyaka is a legend? They lost many more finals then they win. Being WR1 for total of what 70- weeks? But has been there or thereabout

Never liked this pair because of their shitty attitude towards opponents, umpires, and line judges (as well as their collarbone-height serves), and today's 2017 French Open MD Final solidified it.

At 17-17 in the 2nd game, Boe/Mogensen double hit the shuttle and umpire calls a fault. Knowing the point was over (all 3 players stop moving), Boe decides to continue playing and net kills the shuttle into his opponent at point-blank range, and then proceeds to smirk at the player he just hit.

Boe claims he didn't hear the umpire call a fault, yet somehow Morgensen (who is farther away from the umpire's chair) heard him? Class act. Hope this pair never wins another title in their career.

They're still what they're. But this fact could be unheard for sometimes.

The MAS scratch pair almost beat them at second round, so does the young IND and CHN pair at quarter final and semifinal respectively. But they managed to escape from those 3 matches. Their win against post-junior pair He Jiting/Tan Qiang at semifinal is likely their final match with Boe's celebration.

celebration at minute 6:00

At the end the defending champion falling with so close straight games lost against 7th seeded pair from Taipei, Lee Jhe-Huei/Lee Yang who also defeated World Champion, Zhang Nan/Liu Cheng on their way into final.
