Kantaphon secured 1st game with 22-20..

Ginting back to his old inconsistent self? This is not looking good.

Zhang/Li on the other hand seemed to have won G1 instead of a bad start judging from the score.

Looks like Ginting is going to make an early exit from this tourney.

Ginting is having hangover after winning China open. Too many mistakes. Kanthapon is playing a clean game and returning all the shots well..
Maybe he is better playing as unseeded... Less pressure lol

What happen to Ginting? He lost rather easily. Something must be wrong with him.

Not too surprising that Kantaphon Wangcharoen beat Anthony Ginting but not by that score in G2, 21-12.

For me,I'm watching to see if KW is one of the few to rise to the challenge against Kento Momota, Anthony Ginting and the latest addition, Chou Tien Chen, for the top 3 positions; the other two I've in mind could be Jonatan Christie, and maybe Shi Yuqi; originally, I've picked Wang Tzu Wei but he's been inexplicably shaky recently.

However, one match victory doesn't prove anything, let's see how far KW can go from here as he's still relatively young and inexperienced at age 20.

embarrassing, as usual AG keeps making silly mistake and give easy points, looks like he really need coach Hendry Saputra constantly remind him to focus like in china open

Frankly, after such a tight G1, 22-20, narrow loss, I'd expect ASG to fight hard in G2.

Yes, please, more seeded falls. I want to see which seeded players lose early. It gives some unpredictable element in it.
