But now his mood is better and will get even better.

Looking at the draw, his remaining threats are in the final - Heo Kwang Hee or Chou Tien Chen, more so than , say, Lee Cheuk Yiu, possible Semifinal opponent.

He'll break down just like he did during the decider in Denmark against VA. The evidence was there.

Like i said. Momota is now a 2 game person. 3rd game will puncture him. Lol ;)

Momota need to smash more to finish off quickly. Once dragged, he is gone. ;)

Smash hard to opponent backhand and quickly move in to pounce or cross net. ;)

Is there a tournament after this one?

    @Sumanth99 @Nine Tailed Fox

Could you guys give a quick call to LS and tell him to get rid of Heo?

*because he just came back and is still trying to find himself.

I reckon if he pushes through this tournament for 2 more matches. And if there is another tournament not far from now but not next week. Let's say the week after. Then we will see the stamina of Momota coming back.

For all you know, Momota is just doing enough to get into the final before he really steps up a gear, sort of conserving his energy for the time being.

Heo is a tough customer for LS. Heo beat him easily last time they met. Let's see. I'll want your wish to be true lol

I hope you are right. Let's say he gets past Shesar (never heard of him tbh), it will take a massive amount of effort to get past LCY or Kanta. After that it will be guys like CTC or Heo or Nishimoto. All of them can run and are consistent.

I think comparing LZJ to Lindan , don't you think it is too much?. LZJ has to prove by winning tournaments and medals at World and Olympics.
Coming to Sen vs Loh, i was surprised after Sen lost to Loh as Loh is improving just now, whereas Sen won 3 GP level tournaments already.
Loh is already 24 years old. But i must appreciate him , his game has improved tremendously in recent times. Hope to see him more in later stages of the Tournaments.

If only it were maths ;) sorry but LS is not dependable yet. Call it age or his inconsistency or whatever. The guy can beat top 10 or 20 player one day and other day, he will lose to some top 60-70 guy.

It's true that the players have commitments! But if you as a player know that you are not fit to compete, withdrawing citing injury will always be a valid option, no matter your ranking or tournament status. I don't believe that Axelsen would waste his time making the trip to Paris if he knew in advance that he would only play 1 point. I think that he would much rather pay a fine, if there was one, than waste his time like that.

So I do believe that he really hoped to have recovered better, and that he was being optimistic. This tournament is loved by the players for its atmosphere, I think he looked forward to it.

And by "now" you probably mean since 2018, because 2018 and 2019 he also lost exhausted in the early rounds in Paris after the final in Odense. So what's new?
The guy has played 15 competetive matches in a month now and has still won more three game matches than he lost. I don't think your theory is as good as you think it is.
